RECRUITMENT OF TWO CORE BANKING SYSTEM (CBS) AND DIGITAL SERVICES INTEGRATORS
AT MUFID UNION
1- Context and justification
The UNION OF FINANCIAL MUTUALS FOR DEVELOPMENT (MUFID UNION COOP CA) is
the umbrella body of a network of 120 MUFIDs and service points present in the ten regions of
Cameroon. Created on October 30, 2019 during the Constitutive General Assembly held at the Palais
des Congrès in Yaoundé and approved by the Cameroon Monetary Authority on April 22, 2020, after
a Conforming Opinion from the Central African Banking Commission (COBAC), MUFID UNION,
in accordance with COBAC regulations, provides technical and financial assistance to
affiliated MUFIDs which are approved by the Monetary Authority, after a Conforming Opinion from COBAC and
the first of which opened its doors in 1992.
2- Ambitions
A major player in Microfinance in Cameroon, the MUFID network aims to become:
• Leader in agricultural and rural financing in Cameroon;
• Major player in the financial inclusion of populations, the financing of micro, small
and medium-sized enterprises, and in development.
As part of the strengthening of its technical teams, MUFID Union is launching a call for
applications for the recruitment of two (02) Core Banking System and
Digital Services Integrators (M/F).
Main missions:
➢ Ensure the proper functioning of the various components of the Core Banking System and
digital services (CBS & SD);
➢ Training and awareness of MUFID users for CBS & SD
➢ Participation in the production of CBS & SD versions;
➢ Participation in the maintenance of CBS & SD;
➢ Maintenance and backup of CBS & SD databases;
➢ Automation of CBS & SD operating tasks;
➢ Electronic archiving of MUFID CBS & SD information
➢ Ensures the proper functioning of CBS & SD and their availability 24/7;
➢ Ensures the proper management of the CBS & SD by MUFID agents in accordance with the
procedures and charters in force.
Job description:
• Carry out the tasks provided for in the various IT procedures and directives relating to the
CBS & SD;
• All actions and tasks required for the proper operation of the CBS & SD by end users,
including but not limited to (closing and opening of the day, access management, assistance,
periodic processing, etc.);
• Administer the systems at the CBS & SD;
• Carry out periodic backups of the CBS & SD applications and database;
• Carry out tests of the various CBS & SD before making them available to end users;
• Provide training and support to CBS & SD end users;
• Develop and update CBS & SD operating procedures
• Collect and report end user needs and problems with suggested solutions
• Produce and update CBS & SD user training materials
• Design and implement CBS & SD reports
• Provide CBS & SD data extractions on demand in Excel
• Write CBS & SD processes and procedures
• Prepare and organize periodic user training on CBS & SD
Qualifications and Training:
BAC+3 in IT management, Software Engineering, Information Systems or
equivalent discipline.
Experience and Skills:
• At least 2 years of experience in a similar position, including at least 1 year as an
IT Operator in a banking or microfinance environment would be an asset
• Good knowledge of Core Banking architectures
• Finance and microfinance and various professions
• Knowledge of current banking and microfinance operations
• Database administration (SQL Server, Oracle, etc.)
• Scripting languages and integration tools
• Good understanding of financial flows and banking environments.
• Knowledge of IT security and incident management
Human qualities:
• Rigor, method and attention to detail
• Analytical mind and ability to resolve problems quickly
• Good communication and team spirit.
