v Organizational Context
Founded in 1993, Médecins du Monde – Switzerland (MdM-Switzerland) is a humanitarian organization which works in Switzerland and internationally to establish sustainable access to healthcare for excluded people.
Present in Cameroon since 2013, MdM-Switzerland deploys a strategy whose main goal is to improve the living conditions of vulnerable populations. In partnership with civil society organizations or local authorities, it implements projects in the field in order to sustainably improve access to health for women and children, people in vulnerable situations and victims of crises and conflicts. It is in this context that the Cameroon Mission of MdM-Switzerland is launching a call for applications to set up a databasemaintenance agents for its Coordination (Yaoundé) and field (Foumban and Bamenda) offices.
1- JOB DESCRIPTION (non-exhaustive)
Under the supervision of the Administration and Logistics Officer or the Logistics and Administrative Assistant, the Maintenance Agent will be responsible for carrying out the following activities and tasks:
Ensure the daily hygiene and sanitation of the entire office
Clean floors, verandas, terrace and dust furniture
Keep the toilets in a regular state of cleanliness and ensure that the buckets and barrels provided for this purpose are filled with clean water
Sweep the yard and remove rubbish and rubbish
Empty the bins in each office and ensure that the bin bags are replaced
Prepare coffee break products and provide service when visitors arrive at the office
Notify the logistics manager of any need for work materials and supplies
Be pro-active in the execution of tasks
2- SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
2.1 Education
– MinimumCEPE (certificate of primary and elementary studies) or an equivalent diploma
2.2 Professional experience
– At least (01) Year in a Maintenance Agent position within an international organization
– Good knowledge of generic home maintenance rules
2.3 General and specific skills
– Honest and reliable
– Sense of responsibility
– Be diligent in the execution of tasks
– Attentive and discreet
– Be hardworking and motivated
3- CONSTITUTION OF THE APPLICATION FILE
- A letter of motivation addressed to the General Coordinator of Médecins du Monde-Suisse,
- An updated curriculum vitae
- A copy of the CEPE (certificate of primary and elementary studies) or an equivalent diploma
- Proof of previous professional experience (work certificates, employment contract, certificate of end of contract, etc.)
- Three reference persons, including at least one from the last position held (surname, first name, functions, email address and functional telephone)
