v Organizational Context
Founded in 1993, Médecins du Monde – Switzerland (MdM-Switzerland) is a humanitarian organization which works in Switzerland and internationally to establish sustainable access to healthcare for excluded people.
Present in Cameroon since 2013, MdM-Switzerland deploys a strategy whose main goal is to improve the living conditions of vulnerable populations. In partnership with civil society organizations or local authorities, it implements projects in the field in order to sustainably improve access to health for women and children, people in vulnerable situations and victims of crises and conflicts. It is within this framework that the Cameroon Mission of MdM-Switzerland is launching a call for candidates to set up a database of driver service providers for its Coordination (Yaoundé) and field (Foumban and Bamenda) offices.
1- JOB DESCRIPTION (non-exhaustive)
Under the supervision of the Administration and Logistics Officer or the Logistics and Administrative Assistant, the Service Provider Driver will be responsible for carrying out the following activities and tasks:
Ensure the transport of people and goods according to the safety rules in force at MdM-CH
Load and unload the equipment it transports while respecting the payload of the vehicle and ensuring that the load is properly secured;
Perform daily and weekly checks on the functionality of the vehicle;
Notify the manager sufficiently in advance of the imminence of maintenance on his vehicle, in order to plan the temporary immobilization of the vehicle;
Keep the vehicle clean inside, outside and engine;
Regularly check the good condition of the equipment: spare wheel, jack, straps, ropes, small tools, etc.;
2- SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
2.1 Education
– Minimum BEPC (first cycle study certificate)
– Category B driving license
2.2 Professional experience
– At least (01) Year in a Driver position within an international organization
– Good knowledge of generic security rules
2.3 General and specific skills
– Sense of responsibility
– Reliable and autonomous
– Have good eyesight
– Drive very responsibly and defensively
– Attentive and discreet
– Hardworking and motivated
3- CONSTITUTION OF THE APPLICATION FILE
- A letter of motivation addressed to the General Coordinator of Médecins du Monde-Suisse,
- An updated curriculum vitae
- A copy of the BEPC (Brevet d’Etudes du Premier Cycle)
- Proof of previous professional experience (work certificates, employment contract, certificate of end of contract, etc.)
- Three reference persons, including at least one from the last position held (surname, first name, functions, email address and functional telephone)
