I. Context

KidAid Cameroon is a non-profit, apolitical, non-denominational humanitarian association focused on volunteering; created on March 27, 2003 and registered on July 1, 2003 in the Mfoundi prefecture (Yaoundé) as part of initiatives to combat HIV/AIDS, particularly taking into account the specific impact of the pandemic on children.

While remaining very sensitive to the issue of children affected by HIV/AIDS, the association has opened up to broader issues of health, education and socio-economic well-being of vulnerable populations, both urban and rural, in a family-centered approach for the benefit of children and adolescents.

KidAid•Cameroon is launching a call for expressions of interest for the recruitment of an individual consultant or a training firm. This mission aims to strengthen the capacities of staff on the OHADA Uniform Act relating to the Accounting, Financial and Budgetary System of Non-Profit Entities (SYSCOHADA/EBNL).

I. Objective of the mission:

The selected consultant will be responsible for designing and leading three (03) training seminars of four (04) days each, covering:

The new OHADA accounting framework applicable to NPOs.

• Techniques for preparing financial statements according to the new standards.

Budget management and the tax regime applicable to NPOs.

Internal accounting organization and the implementation of management tools (procedures manual, procurement committee, etc.).

Educational Objectives: At the end of the training, participants will have acquired and/or practiced the following skills at a satisfactory level.

Legal provisions and conceptual framework in accounting, The operating structure and content of accounts,

Operating operations and specific problems,

Presentation and operation of financial statements,

The tax regime for non-profit organizations,

Work on the accounting organization,

Budgetary process within an entity,

Work on setting up accounting tools, Work

on the procedure manual,

Work on the organization and establishment of a procurement committee.

III, Consultant Profile

The consultant must have the following qualifications and experience

     A university degree in accounting, finance or a related field (Minimum Bac +5).

     Proven professional experience (minimum 5 years) in accounting, financial management and taxation, specifically in the context of Non-Profit Organizations in Cameroon.

     In-depth knowledge of the OHADA Uniform Act on Accounting Law and Financial Reporting of Non-Profit Entities (AUSC-EBNL).

     Good teaching and methodological skills. Ability to work in French and English is an asset. A good understanding of IAS (International Accounting Standards) and IFRS (

International Financial Reporting Standards). Excellent training and facilitation skills, with experience in conducting participatory workshops.

IV. Scope of Work

The consultant will be responsible for: .

     Developing detailed training materials, including presentations, case studies and practical exercises, based on the technical specifications provided.

     Facilitating three 4-day training seminars in Yaoundé.

     Provide guidance and support to participants throughout the training.

     Prepare a training report, including key findings and recommendations.

The consultancy will be conducted over a period sufficient to complete the 3 1-day seminars. The seminars will be held in Yaoundé,
