Chanas Assurances Vie is looking for a (o1) Senior Technical Manager meeting the following specificities and criteria for the needs of its services :
Job Title: Senior Technical Manager
Location: Douala – Cameroon
Nature of contract: Permanent reporting Line reporting: Technical Directorate
POSITION DESCRIPTION
MISSIONS :
- Study insurance proposals, analyze risks and issue contracts
- Ensure optimal contract management
- Process commissions from business providers and customer requests on time
- Ensure the management of claims declarations and requests for services (purchases, advances, annuities, etc.)
- Examine claims files and monitor their settlement as well as other types of services
- Ensure proper record keeping
- Participate in carrying out synthesis work
MAIN DUTIES:
- Carry out the quotes
- Rigorous selection and acceptance of risks
- Creation of fonts in the Métier software
- Issuing, editing and setting up contracts
- Drafting of various amendments relating to contracts
- Sending renewal proposals, calls for premiums to be paid, expiry notices, expiration notices and status notices
- Technical collection of premiums
- Good record keeping of Production and Services
- Set up the commissions of Business Providers and monitor their payment
- Payment of profit sharing to intermediaries, doctors’ fees, invoices from other service providers (investigators, lawyers, etc.)
- Provide appropriate responses to letters (ordinary or electronic) from customers and partners; Notification of contractual clauses, change of beneficiary clauses, processing complaints
- Follow up on unpaid/arrears by sending letters of formal notice, reduction of contracts or terminations, etc.
- Examine claims declarations and requests for services (purchase payments, advances, annuities, etc.) submitted within the Technical Department
- Carry out the investigation of claims in accordance with the regulatory provisions laid down by the CIMA code
- Issue notices on claims to be submitted to the hierarchy
- Proceed to settle benefits and prepare payments
- Monitoring compliance with payment deadlines
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- BAC + 3 Minimum; DESS in Insurance
- Good knowledge of Life Insurance contracts
- Experience of at least three years in the management of Life Insurance contracts
- Mastery of computers
- Being bilingual would be an asset
- Good writing skills and ease in handling data and figures
- Strength of innovation, proposals and keen to respect deadlines
- Rigor, discreet and sense of organization
- Have a strong ability to work under pressure
- Ability to observe confidentiality in the management of sensitive data
