Civil Engineering and Urban Planning Design ENGINEER

1- Main missions design infrastructure (roads, buildings, bridges, tunnels) and different types of development; participate in the design of buildings, infrastructure (roads, bridges, tunnels, etc.), urban networks (water, electricity, sanitation) and public spaces, use Computer Aided Design (CAD) software to produce detailed plans and simulations; evaluate the technical, economic and environmental feasibility of projects, taking into account standards, regulatory constraints and user needs; coordinate all stages of design, implementation and delivery of projects, collaborating with other professionals (architects, urban planners, contractors),

  Participate in the supervision of field work to ensure compliance with quality and safety standards; analyze and resolve technical problems and propose innovative and sustainable solutions, contribute to the planning and development of cities, taking into account environmental, social and economic issues.

2- Required diploma The applicant must hold a Diploma in Civil

Engineering and Urban Planning Design 3- Experience • A minimum of ten (10) years of professional experience in the field • Be registered with the Order of Civil Engineering Engineers.

4- Requirements and skills have analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as a global vision of sustainable urban development; manage sensitive information and must be able to manage it with discretion, have expertise in civil engineering, urban planning, fluid mechanics, soil mechanics, structural calculation, computer-aided design (CAD); master design software (ROBOT BAT, MS PROJECT) master construction and road maintenance standards, have the ability to manage projects, coordinate teams and communicate with stakeholders; have good interpersonal skills, diplomacy, a taste for teamwork, use design software with ease and mastery (ROBOT BAT, MS

PROJECT) master public procurement management and the preparation of calls for tenders;

• master the principles of sustainable development and eco-design and be perfectly bilingual.

1 – Composition of the file

The file includes.

– A handwritten job application written in French or English, addressed to the Mayor of the City of Douala, stamped at the current rate (01 tax stamp and 01 municipal stamp),

– A Curriculum Vitae (CV),

– A cover letter,

– A photocopy of the birth certificate dated less than three (03) months;

– A photocopy of the reference diploma dated less than three (03) months.

Copies of supporting documents for professional experience,

A photocopy of the National Identity Card or valid passport.

2 – Deadline and place of submission

Complete files will be received every working day from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. from May 16 to 30, 2025 at the Urban Community Mail Service.

The Mayor of the City will communicate the final results by press and posting.
