COMMUNICATIONS MANAGER M/F 

General information

    Comprised of a group of Cameroonian shareholders, Africa Global Logistics, CMA CGM, and CHEC, the Kribi Conteneurs Terminal consortium is the concessionaire for the container terminal at the Kribi deepwater port. 
KCT provides Cameroon’s logistics chain with modern infrastructure, adapted to the new generation of transoceanic vessels, including 350-meter quays that can accommodate vessels with a capacity of up to 11,000 TEUs. The infrastructure and equipment comply with the highest international standards.




A true gateway to Cameroon and its hinterland countries, such as Chad and the Central African Republic, this new terminal is expected to facilitate the growth of regional trade and accelerate the country’s economic growth. Kribi Conteneurs Terminal also aims to position itself as a transshipment hub.

Mission Description 

– Develop, manage, implement and evaluate the company’s communication strategy as well as its brand strategy at KCT level. In this capacity, he defines communication programs to promote the company’s image to stakeholders.
– In charge of defining and deploying communication programs and activities;
– Participate in defining the communication strategy and support the General Management on press relations;
– Ensure the proper dissemination of the company’s messages, programs and achievements to its various internal and external targets within the framework of the company’s activities;
– Monitor the company and its external environment and, as such, lead corrective communication actions. In this capacity, his missions are to:
o Events: structure the promotion of KCT’s brand image through events and participate in the organization of trade fairs, internal events, etc.




o Press relations: improve the company’s reputation with the public through the media, put into perspective the tools for monitoring, surveillance and foresight of the media environment, and produce content (Information notes, Press releases, Press kit, etc.).
o Web and social networks: Create content for social networks, contribute to and moderate social networks; ensure the updating of the company’s websites; follow statistical, monitoring and measurement tools;
o Studio/Creative: Produce written, audio/visual and digital communication materials
o Commitments: Promote the employer brand in conjunction with the Human Resources Department, KCT’s social responsibility and sponsorship actions.

 

Profile 

– Hold a higher education diploma minimum BAC + 4 in Information and Communication Sciences and Technology or any other diploma recognized as equivalent from a renowned Specialized Higher School;
– Successful cumulative professional experience of at least 05 years in Corporate Communication or in a similar position in a Media or an Organization with an established reputation;
– Have a global knowledge of port activities and port terminal operations;
– Perfect knowledge of the different communication levers allowing to establish a complete communication strategy;
– Perfect mastery of administrative correspondence;




– Strong knowledge of best practices for effective communication
– Language skills: Perfect command of French and English
– Computer skills: Very good command of MS office with mastery of Excel spreadsheets (formulas, TCD, Graphics), DTP-Video software
– Required skills: Excellent writing skills – Perfect knowledge of the different communication levers allowing the establishment of a complete communication strategy – Mastery and an appetite for social networks – Integrity/Ethics – confidentiality and discretion – excellent organizational and planning skills – work under pressure – Good interpersonal skills, diplomacy and persuasion – sense of creativity – strength of proposal and taking initiatives – Autonomy – Availability and proactivity.
