Brief Job Description

The community facilitators ensure efficiency and effectiveness in the implementation of the project activities to which they are assigned. They are in direct contact with the target communities and project stakeholders and act as an intermediary between the community and the organization.

Main responsibilities

• Participate in the creation, maintenance and organization of the community network;

• Implements, supports and supervises community mobilization activities;

• Organizes and participates in outreach activities in accordance with assigned project;

• Collect field data and relay it to the hierarchy to inform decision-making;

• Organize and conduct home visits as required;

• Make the link between the population and local actors;

• Facilitate and coordinate periodic community meetings with community relays or community leaders, etc.;

• Performs any other task assigned by the hierarchy and compatible with DEDI’s mission and vision.

 




Required profile

Formation: Social sciences, rural development or other relevant training;

Diplomas: At least have a Baccalaureate level;

Experiment: At least 1 year of experience in a similar position in community development, health, nutrition or any other relevant field;

Other skills and/or competencies: Fluent in French / English, be of good morals, flexible and willing to work in the field, knowledge of local languages (a plus), good analysis skills,
