Governance
Operational, Tactical and Strategic Meetings
- Provide input in strategic meetings when required
- Provide input into the preparation of proposal on change initiatives, policies, and procedures
- Build performance metric dashboards prepared on various performance metrics
Escalations
- Manage and resolve escalations that have impact on critical path of service delivery
- Escalate issues that will result in significant time, scope, employee/customer or cost impact if not resolved
Function Tactical
- Provide input into all projects initiated
- Identify and document key risks, issues and dependencies and set mitigation actions
- Prepare documentation required for sign-off / making decisions regarding tactical changes
Performance
- Monitor performance against agreed KPIs and their compliance to SLAs and reverse SLAs
- Ensure execution in alignment with divisional strategy
- Continuous performance monitoring and adjust strategy and actions to deliver targets
Reporting
- Report on a periodic basis relating to progress made within the function and in accordance with the measurement metrics set by the organization
Report on an ad hoc basis on specific projects, as required
Responsibilities
Strategy Development and Implementation
- Provide reports and analysis to support and contribute to the development of the functional strategy in line with the overarching business goals
- Assist the with accurate and timely reporting to enable the regular review of the functional strategy, roadmap, and performance to ensure its alignment with the changing dynamics of the internal and external ecosystem
Operational Delivery
- Integrate content strategy with overall brand messaging and business goals, ensuring consistency and alignment across all marketing initiatives
- Curate relevant and engaging content tailored to the unique characteristics of audiences ensuring it addresses their specific interests and needs
- Play a key role in campaign development and media planning, ensuring the creation, coordination, and optimization of advertising strategies across various digital and social media platforms to maximize reach and engagement
- Coordinate the entire lifecycle of campaigns from inception to go-to-market, ensuring seamless planning, execution, and optimization across all digital and social media platforms
- Serve as the central liaison between the business requestor and the agency to ensure the development and execution of relevant and impactful campaigns
- Work closely with marketing teams to define, develop and continuously refine a comprehensive content strategy that aligns with MTN Cameroon’s marketing objectives strategically integrated with broader marketing goals, fostering brand consistency effectively engaging target audiences
- Develop detailed personas to gain a deep understanding of the specific needs, challenges, and preferences of different target audiences, use insights to tailor content strategies and ensure that messaging resonates effectively with each audience segments
- Partner with data teams and other relevant stakeholders to identify and define B2B customer segments to enhance targeted marketing efforts
- Thoroughly proofread and edit content to ensure accuracy, clarity, and alignment with brand guidelines before publishing
- Design and implement personalized content experiences through advanced personalization frameworks driving customer engagement and market effectiveness
- Act as a trusted advisor, providing inputs to Digital, Social Media and marketing teams to implement and optimize dynamic content strategies across various marketing channels, including websites, emails, and social media platforms
- Conduct A/B testing to iteratively refine and improve the effectiveness of personalized content strategies
- Under the guidance of Senior Specialist- Advertising & Media, analyze customer data, conduct behaviour analysis, leverage advanced AI-driven insights to derive actionable performance insights and optimize content strategies to enhance audience engagement and campaign effectiveness
- Manage the content calendars, ensuring alignment and consistency across all platforms, to uphold a cohesive and unified brand presence
- Track consumer and content analytics, compile comprehensive reports and presentations and share with relevant senior stakeholders
- Stay abreast on industry trends, innovations, and advancements in technology to ensure curated content remains cutting-edge
Qualifications
Education:
- Minimum of 3-year degree/diploma in literature, journalism, marketing, Communication or Management
Experience:
- A minimum of three years of experience in content creation, marketing, communications, or similar
- At least 2 years communication strategy, copy writing, advertising development, managing relationship and executing communication campaigns with suppliers (Printers, Production houses, Media)
- Deep knowledge of various content platforms such as social media, blogs, and print media
- Familiarity with content management systems such as WordPress etc.
- Hands-on experience of content and layout design tools such as Adobe InCopy
- Knowledge of full web content production lifecycle, including scoping out content requirements, production, testing and ongoing management/refinement
- Deep understanding of in Telecoms – CSM/Fixed line/Internet and Data business
- Experience in point of sales communication will be preferable
- Strong understanding of content practices such as Search Engine Optimization (SEO), Social Media Optimization (SMO), and Pay-per-click (PPC) etc.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience of /exposure to on-line Advertising
