Duration of appointment: Permanent job after a period probationary period of
two (2) years
Administrative Unit: Directorate of Information Systems and Publication
Place of employment: Yaoundé (Republic of Cameroon)
ELIGIBILITY CONDITIONS
- Be a national of one of the OAPI member countries. With equal qualifications, preference will be given to candidates from under-represented countries within the Organization.
- be at least 18 years old and no more than 55 years old on the closing date for the submission of applications;
- enjoy their civil rights and be of good moral character.
MAIN DUTIES
Under the supervision of the Director of Information Systems and Publication, the incumbent
is mainly responsible for:
- supervising the reception and information of users;
- coordinate the receipt of technical mail;
- to guarantee the processing of mail;
- overseeing the processing of physical and electronic records;
- to supervise the examination of admissibility;
- to ensure the administrative management of the service;
- to check the conformity of the receipts;
- to participate in work and meetings in conjunction with other departments and services;
- to perform service reporting.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Have a postgraduate degree (Master, DEA, DESS) in Legal or Economic Sciences or any other diploma recognized as equivalent by the competent authority;
- Have at least five (05) years of professional experience in the field in a design and management position in an administration in charge of intellectual property;
- Have a good knowledge of the intellectual property system;
- Have a good knowledge of office tools;
- Have a good organization in the work, be rigorous on the respect of deadlines and be able to work under pressure;
- Have an excellent knowledge of the French language;
- Knowledge of the English language would be an advantage.
Composition of the application file
All candidates for this position must compile a file containing the following documents:
- a duly completed application form (available on the website www.oapi.int);
- an extract from the birth certificate or a certified true copy of the birth certificate or the supplementary judgment in lieu thereof;
- a detailed curriculum vitae;
- an extract from the criminal record dating from less than three months;
- a certified copy of diplomas, titles, qualification certificates, work certificates;
- a regularly established certificate of public or private jobs previously held and indicating their duration;
- a certificate of medical examination, dating from less than three months, attesting that the candidate fulfills the conditions of physical and mental aptitude.

Remuneration
The position is classified in category C3 of the salary scale in force at OAPI. Recruitment is done at the 1st level. The person concerned will benefit from the advantages and allowances under the conditions provided for by the texts in force.

The successful candidate must, prior to taking up duty:
- present the originals of their diplomas, titles and civil status documents;
- provide a sworn statement of free engagement if he is not a civil servant or a detachment certificate if he is a civil servant.
