As part of its partnership with the UNHCR in Cameroon, DEDI is seeking to recruit temporary data collection agents with a view to conducting a mid-term evaluation of UNHCR’s 2022 – 2026 multi-year strategy
Data Collectors
Concerned Locations: North-West, South-West and West Regions
Duration of the service: between 10 and 30 days
Main responsibilities
• Take care of the preparation of the intervention, the supports and the materials according to the investigation and the instructions;
• Identify the target people, explain to them the nature and progress of the investigation;
• Support target people throughout the investigation;
• Carry out data collection according to the needs of the study;
• Complete questionnaires, forms and reports;
• Classify the data collected and forward the results of the investigation;
• Ensure strict compliance with the code of conduct, internal policy and procedures as well as maintaining the confidential nature of the data collected as part of the project;
• Manage the materials/equipment made available for data collection in a good manner
• Maintain a high level of respect for partners and beneficiaries at all times and at each stage of the data collection process;
• Act in a way that takes into account the gender dimension, protection, environment and other important cross-cutting issues;
• Accomplish any other task entrusted by the hierarchy and compatible with the mission and vision of DEDI.
Required Profile
Training: Social sciences, Statistics, Development or other relevant field
Diplomas: University degree or higher education
Experience: At least 1 year of experience in the field of data collection
Other skills and/or competencies: – Proficiency with computer tools (Excel);
– speak French/English fluently;
– be of good moral character;
– flexible and willing to travel in the field;
– knowledge of local languages (a plus);
– good analytical skills, etc.
