I – PRESENTATION OF THE JOB
Based in Yaoundé (Cameroon) since 1995, the AUF – Central Africa and Great Lakes regional office manages a network of 116 university establishments in 11 countries (Burundi, Cameroon, Congo, Gabon, Equatorial Guinea, Uganda, Central African Republic, Democratic Republic of Congo, Rwanda, Chad, Zimbabwe).

It has seven (7) national offices: in Burundi (Bujumbura), Cameroon (Yaoundé), Congo (Brazzaville), Gabon (Libreville), Central African Republic (Bangui), Democratic Republic of Congo (Kinshasa) and Chad (N’Djamena).

 

Under the hierarchical authority of the regional digital manager, the Digital Project Manager participates in the maintenance and proper functioning of the technical resources of the regional management and the national office in Cameroon.

II – MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Digital project management

Participate in the setting up of digital projects

Monitor the implementation of digital projects

Participate in the planning, monitoring and organization of activities

Monitor experts and service providers involved in projects (purchase requests, purchase orders, service contracts, etc.)

Technical support and assistance

Provide technical assistance to staff and users before, during and after each activity

Prepare and supervise rooms and equipment during events in which the AUF participates (internet connection, workstations, fixed and mobile equipment, video conferences)

 

Assist users in managing IT security issues

Participate in ticket management and monitor interventions

Write documentation for users and colleagues

Maintain IT equipment and manage inventory

Enrich and update inventory files for hardware and software

Ensure management (monitoring, inventory, orders) of stocks of consumables and small IT equipment. Monitor

relationships with technical service providers

Monitor the proper execution of technical services ordered (IT purchases, internet service providers, etc.)

 

Monitor technical purchases in the AUF IT system (IS)

Maintain the database of technical suppliers

Participate in the implementation of the AUF’s vision in terms of digital and innovation

Integrate the AUF’s digital relay network

Participate in the implementation of technical projects led by the AUF, at the level of the digital department, the regional department and the national office in Cameroon

Administrative and financial management

Ensure the physical and electronic filing of files

Ensure monthly financial and budgetary monitoring in accordance with the rules and procedures in force within the AUF

III – QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS REQUIRED

Education

Undergraduate university degree in computer science or other relevant discipline

Experience

Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a similar position

Experience in an international, multi-site and multicultural context, an asset

Skills

Knowledge of Microsoft 365 tools

Knowledge of ticket management (tracking and incident management, etc.)

Knowledge of Windows/Mac systems in a professional environment

Skills in WAN and LAN technology management

Skills in setting up and monitoring projects Fluency

in French, both oral and written

ITIL certification, an asset

Sense of teamwork

Autonomy and initiative

IV – CONDITIONS

Place of assignment: Yaoundé, Cameroon

Type of contract: Fixed-term contract of two (2) years

Date of entry into office: As soon as possible

NB Candidates who do not have Cameroonian nationality or residence must hold a valid work permit.
