EGPAF works in partnership with the Ministry of Health NACC and regional and district health teams to support HIV prevention, care and treatment services and health systems strengthening. EGPAF is primarily funded by PEPFAR through the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID).
MISSIONS
EGPAF Cameroon Launches the recruitment of a Consultant for the missions detailed below.
Missions and responsibilities:
1. Medical examination of employees This is a preventive mission whose purpose is to periodically check the health of the worker. at different times: recruitment examination (as soon as they are hired or at the end of
the trial period), periodic examinations, return to work examination for employees on long-term leave from work
2. Prevention of risks related to the nature and working conditions
Carry out occupational health actions to prevent certain diseases or work-related accidents.
Advise the employer, employees, the health, safety and working conditions committee (CHSCT) and finally staff representatives on measures to be put in place to
3. Ensure the safety and hygiene of workplaces and reduce physical or mental risks related to the exercise of activities (work accident, burn-out, depression …)
4. Providing health education and care
5. Report to the employer cases of occupational diseases of which he has become aware; all cases
not yet recognized as occupational diseases, but whose manifestations seem
to him likely to relate to a profession, with amplification of the Minister responsible for labour.
6. Participate in the work of the Health and Safety and Working Conditions Committee (CHSCT)
7. Advise management on the following:
- Monitoring the general hygiene of the company, particularly from the point of view of air conditioning, lighting, level of cleanliness, sanitary facilities (washbasins, cabinets, showers), drinking water, catering;
- The hygiene of the workplace and the protection of workers against all nuisances such as: dust, fumes, noise; etc.
- The installation and use of safety devices and the implementation of all preventive measures in the field of accidents at work and occupational diseases;
- The improvement of working conditions, in particular by additional installations or arrangements, the adaptation of techniques to man, the study of the conditions of effort and the rhythms of work;
- Monitoring the adaptation of workers to workstations;
- Feeding workers in the event that the employer has set up an internal catering mechanism and/or space;

8. Keep the following documents:
- An individual file for each worker containing the observations made during the hiring examination, periodic examinations and any other examinations. This file is strictly confidential and can only be communicated to the labour inspector.
- Register of preventive examinations provided for by the regulations in force for certain occupational diseases, the duplicate of this register is kept at the same time by the employer;
- Register of studies of workstations.
- Register of accidents at work;
- Strain books for the declaration of occupational diseases and contagious diseases;
9. He must also provide the following documents:
- Annual activity report of the medical service according to the prescribed model addressed to the Minister of Labour and Social Security;
- Semi-annual report on the health status of workers (morbidity statistics) to the Minister of Public Health in accordance with the prescribed model. A copy of this report shall be sent to the local labour inspector.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Be a doctor of medicine, hold a specialization in occupational medicine, industrial hygiene, occupational health & safety or any other equivalent specialty
- Be registered with the ONMC (National Order of Physicians of Cameroon) and be approved by the Minister of Labour and Social Security
- Fluency in English or French is an imperative. Being bilingual is a major asset

2 Qualifications and references
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in occupational health
- Relevant occupational health training
- Provide a cover letter demonstrating how the consultant complies with the terms of reference and a full CV detailing experience and qualifications. The CV should include the names, email addresses and phone numbers of at least three traceable and reachable references with whom the consultant has worked in the last 3 years.
3) Share any similar work experience 50%
- Technical Approach, Work Methodology Brief proposal – (maximum 1.5 pages) indicating how the consultant proposes to undertake the work. 20%
