The lab’s groundbreaking work spans artificial intelligence, software reliability, program analysis, and secure computing — with real-world impacts on popular platforms like Chrome, Scipy, Java libraries, and more.

What Will You Work On?

The Software Lab focuses on building intelligent, secure, and efficient software through techniques such as:

  • AI to detect and fix bugs using LLM agents
  • Static & dynamic analysis to infer software specs
  • Test input generation for differential testing
  • Real-world impact in Python, Java, C/C++, JavaScript systems

This is not just theoretical work — your research will improve actual tools and infrastructures used worldwide!

This position is open to global applicants who:

  • Have or are about to complete a Master’s degree in computer science or related fields

    • Are not afraid to dedicate 4–5 years to deep, high-impact research
    • Are eager to mentor undergraduate students and grow within a research team
