NORTH WEST DEVELOPMENT AND INVESTMENT FUND (NOWEDIF)
2025 DIGITAL ENTREPRENEURSHIP SUPPORT PROGRAM
The North West Development and Investment Fund (NOWEDIF), as part of its mandate to promote economic growth and foster entrepreneurship in the North West Region, is pleased to announce the launch of its 2025 Digital Entrepreneurship Support Program.
This program is designed to provide financial and technical support to young entrepreneurs and startups operating in the digital economy sector. It aims at encouraging innovation, creating employment opportunities, and contributing to the digital transformation of the North West Region and Cameroon as a whole.
OBJECTIVES OF THE PROGRAM
The main objectives of the program are to:
- Promote digital entrepreneurship as a means of reducing unemployment and poverty in the region.
- Support the development of innovative digital solutions that address local and national challenges.
- Provide access to finance, mentorship, and capacity building for young entrepreneurs.
- Strengthen the digital innovation ecosystem in the North West Region.
TARGET BENEFICIARIES
The program targets:
- Young Cameroonians aged 18 to 40 years.
- Individuals, groups, or startups engaged in digital business activities.
- Entrepreneurs developing innovative solutions in areas such as:
- E-commerce
- E-education
- E-health
- Fintech
- Agritech
- Mobile applications
- Software development
- Cybersecurity
- Data analytics
- Artificial intelligence (AI)
- Blockchain
- Internet of Things (IoT)
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
Applicants must:
- Be of Cameroonian nationality, residing or carrying out business activities in the North West Region.
- Be between 18 and 40 years old.
- Have an innovative business idea or an existing startup in the digital sector.
- Demonstrate commitment and availability to follow through the program’s phases.
- Provide a clear business plan or project document detailing the innovation, target market, business model, and expected impact.

Capacity Building and Training
- Business model development
- Digital marketing strategies
- Financial management
- Legal framework and regulatory compliance
- Pitching and presentation skills

Mentorship and Coaching
- One-on-one mentorship sessions with experienced digital entrepreneurs, investors, and industry experts.
- Personalized coaching on technical and business aspects.

Access to Finance
- Seed funding ranging from 500,000 FCFA to 5,000,000 FCFA, based on the nature and potential impact of the project.
- Facilitation of access to additional funding opportunities through partner financial institutions and investors.

Incubation and Co-working Spaces
- Access to modern working spaces equipped with internet, computers, and other necessary infrastructure.
- Technical support for prototype development and product testing.

Networking and Market Access
- Participation in local, national, and international events and exhibitions.
- Opportunities to connect with potential clients, partners, and investors.
APPLICATION PROCESS
Interested applicants should:
- Download and fill out the application form available at www.nowedif.org or collect the form at the NOWEDIF office in Bamenda.
- Submit the completed application form along with the following documents:
- A copy of the National Identity Card or Passport.
- A detailed CV.
- A business plan or project proposal (maximum of 10 pages).
- Any other supporting documents (patents, prototype images, etc.).
Applications can be submitted:
- In-person at the NOWEDIF office, Ayaba Street, Commercial Avenue, Bamenda.
- Via email to applications@nowedif.org.
SELECTION CRITERIA
Applications will be evaluated based on:
- Innovation and originality of the project.
- Technical feasibility and market potential.
- Economic and social impact.
- Competence and experience of the project team.
- Scalability and sustainability of the business model.

- Call for Applications Opens: April 1, 2025
- Application Deadline: May 15, 2025
- Evaluation and Shortlisting: May 16 – May 31, 2025
- Pitching Sessions: June 5 – June 10, 2025
- Final Selection and Notification: June 15, 2025
- Program Launch and Onboarding: July 1, 2025
- Training and Mentorship Phase: July – December 2025
- Demo Day and Investor Pitch: December 2025
