General information​​​​​​​

Made up of a group of Cameroonian shareholders, Africa Global Logistics, CMA CGM and CHEC, the Kribi Conteneurs Terminal consortium is the concessionaire of the container terminal of the deep-water port of Kribi.
KCT offers the Cameroonian logistics chain a modern infrastructure, adapted to the new generation of transoceanic vessels, including 350-meter quays that can accommodate vessels with a capacity of up to 11,000 TEUs. The infrastructure and equipment comply with the highest international standards.

A true gateway to Cameroon and its hinterland countries, such as Chad and the Central African Republic, this new terminal is expected to facilitate the growth of regional trade and accelerate the country’s economic growth. Kribi Conteneurs Terminal also wishes to position itself as a transhipment hub.

Job Description

Mission Description

• Ensure compliance with deadlines and costs
• Ensure monitoring of implementation schedules
• Ensure compliance with current quality standards
• Monitor the various actions and projects indicated by their line manager
• Communicate and report actions to their line manager
• Report incidents that may occur during the execution of the work
• Ensure compliance with KCT QHSE standards during the execution of projects
• Ensure compliance by service providers with the KCT ethical charter
• Prepare acceptance reports and submit them to the infrastructure manager
• Any other tasks assigned to them by the infrastructure manager and phase 2 monitoring
• Monitor the infrastructure maintenance plan in order to improve the management and conservation of existing assets on the TAC in order to better diagnose and anticipate future interventions
• Establish and/or collect all deliverables resulting from maintenance work in compliance with the deadlines of the maintenance plan

• Classify and archive all documentation relating to infrastructure management and submit it to the infrastructure manager and phase 2 monitoring
• Monitor interventions listed whether they relate to cleaning, visits and inspections or scheduled maintenance
• Collect the elements necessary for the development of the maintenance plan monitoring table accompanied by the latest intervention dates and submit them to his/her superior
• Send back to his/her superior all useful information on possible deterioration and/or aging of the port facilities.
• Monitor the execution of the validated plans and works according to the guidelines of the infrastructure manager and phase 2 monitoring;
• Check the risk analysis sheets and submit them to the infrastructure manager and phase 2 monitoring before any work permit is issued;
• Have all information and documentation received validated and approved by his/her superior;
• Report on the progress of the various stages and ensure the reliability of the information;
• Carry out daily reporting of the various works relating to the restoration of the phase 1 infrastructures.
• Be actively involved in the process of continuous improvement of customer satisfaction and the company’s results,
• Participate in the implementation and improvement of internal controls;
• Contribute to achieving the objectives of the Infrastructure department;
• Any other tasks assigned by the infrastructure manager and phase 2 monitoring.

Profile

• Have a higher education diploma BAC+2/3 in civil engineering or any other equivalent diploma

• Minimum cumulative experience of 3 years including 2 in a similar position
• Have a general knowledge of port activities
• Understand KCT policy and its values
​​• Good knowledge of civil engineering and the management of new works and infrastructure
• Knowledge of norms and standards relating to maintenance and various port infrastructure construction projects
• Understand in a general manner the functioning of KTC and associated organizations
• Required skills: Ability to communicate effectively – Great listening skills, autonomy and adaptation – Open-mindedness and force of proposal – Enthusiasm and dynamism – rigor and organization – work under pressure – sense of reporting – sense of customer service.
• Excellent practice of French
• A good practice of English, knowledge of any other foreign language being an asset
• Solid command of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
