The new member is expected to play a crucial role within the organization by contributing to good governance, risk management, and process improvement. He or she must have extensive knowledge of internal audit procedures and a good understanding of accounting and finance/administration and management to successfully carry out his or her assessment, improvement, and advisory missions.
What are we looking for?
As part of strengthening internal control processes, PSI Cameroon wishes to recruit an Auditor who will ensure compliance with accounting, administrative and financial policies, including donor rules and PSI/Washington requirements.
He/she will have to evaluate the procedures and policies in place and make relevant recommendations regarding their improvement. Assist in the operational implementation of the audit plan.

The post holder will be placed on a salary scale in accordance with PSI Cameroon standards and will benefit from capacity building training to the extent that the platform allows;

Your contribution
The objectives expected following the recruitment of an internal auditor include, among others:
Provide the Audit Department with staff to carry out internal audit activities adequately;
Allow the implementation of a 2025 Annual Audit Plan;
Promote the efficiency of Internal Audit activity by limiting as much as possible non-value-producing activities in the chain of tasks of an internal audit mission;
Increase the flexibility of the Audit department in organizing missions to adapt to the specific and urgent needs of operational departments;
Support the audit team in all its activities.
He/she carries out his/her activities in compliance with the audit charter, standard norms, rules and procedures of PSI Cameroon, PSI/Washington, donors and the laws in force in Cameroon.
ATTRIBUTIONS
The main tasks and activities of the Internal Auditor will be:
Establish an internal audit charter for PSI Cameroon;
Implement an audit plan at the beginning of each year;
Implement work programs;
Carry out audit or investigation missions;
Carefully document all work;
Confirm the findings with the auditees during the work;
Write summaries of the work;
Write audit and investigation reports;
Promote PSI’s ethics and integrity policy in accordance with the Code of Conduct;
Ensure the development and strengthening of colleagues;
Perform any other tasks assigned by his supervisors.
Education
Essential: Bac+4 in Accounting, Management Control; Audit, Finance .
Desirable: Bac+5 in Accounting, Management Control; Audit, Finance
Experience
Have at least 5 years of experience in a recognized audit firm or in the audit department of an international NGO or a recognized structured company in Cameroon;
Required skills:
Have a good understanding of Cameroonian legal and tax regulations;
Have proven mastery of the office suite;
Have knowledge of data analysis;
Have very good writing skills;
Be able to meet the delivery deadlines for audit work assigned by the supervisor;
Have the ability to work under pressure;
Have the ability to travel for work;
Write and speak fluently in French or English; mastery of the other language strongly recommended.

Photocopies of the required diplomas. A verification of the Diplomas will be carried out for the successful candidate;
Photocopies of documents that justify the candidate’s experience (employment contracts, employment certificate, relevant work certificate);
Three professional references who are not related to the candidate.
