IT SECURITY ENGINEER NEEDED AT BEETLE HERITAGE HOLDING Cameroon

Attached to the Information Systems Department, the IT SECURITY ENGINEER will be responsible for:

Ensuring the implementation, management and improvement of security policies and technologies within the company’s IT infrastructure.
Also ensuring the protection of data, systems, networks and applications against internal and external threats;
And implementing solutions to prevent, detect and respond to security incidents.
ACTIVITIES:

Ensuring the management of system and network security;
Ensuring identity and access management (IAM);

Conduct security audits and risk assessments;
Ensure the management of security policies and procedures;
Be able to monitor and detect threats;
Respond to incidents and crisis management;
Train and raise awareness about security;
Ensure technology monitoring and continuous improvement.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE: PROFILE:

Academic level:

Bac+5 in IT, cybersecurity, or an equivalent field.
IT security certifications such as CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional), CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker), CISA (Certified Information Systems Auditor), CISM (Certified Information Security Manager), or CompTIA Security+ are strongly recommended.

Professional experience (asset):

3 to 5 years of experience in a similar position in cybersecurity or system/network administration with a focus on security.
Practical experience in infrastructure and application security management.
TECHNICAL SKILLS:

Expertise in information systems security (networks, systems, applications);
In-depth knowledge of firewalls, VPNs, intrusion detection systems (IDS/IPS), anti-malware solutions, and network security tools;

Proficiency in network security protocols (SSL/TLS, IPsec, etc.) and identity and access management systems (IAM, SSO, MFA);
Proficiency in vulnerability management and penetration testing (pentesting), as well as risk analysis and incident management;
Experience with security log and event management (SIEM) tools, such as Splunk, ArcSight, or LogRhythm;

Competence in managing compliance and regulations related to data security (GDPR, ISO 27001, PCI-DSS, etc.);
Experience with encryption systems (PGP, AES, etc.), and in protecting sensitive data.
Crisis management skills:

Ability to react quickly and effectively during a major security incident (cyberattack, data leak, etc.);
Knowledge of crisis management and communication procedures in emergency situations;
Skills in post-mortem analysis of security incidents to learn lessons and improve security measures;
Communication and leadership skills:

Excellent communication skills to work with different departments (development, infrastructure, management);
Ability to train and raise awareness among employees on security issues;
Leadership to lead security projects and coordinate teams in the event of a crisis.
