Job announcement: Head of Standardization & Operations Excellence
A.P. Moller – Maersk is looking for Fulfilled by Maersk (FbM): Head of Standardization & Operations Excellence – WAF.

As the Area Head of Standardization & Operations Excellence SWA, you will drive standardization & operational excellence initiatives across Maersk’s FbM Customer Delivery warehousing & depot operations.
You will have a deep understanding of logistics operations, process improvement methodologies, and change management and will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements that drive operational safety, efficiency, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement a comprehensive operational excellence strategy with regional Operational Excellence, that supports Maersk’s business objectives and drives continuous improvement.
- Owns benchmarking and knowledge sharing of continuous improvement Projects
- Drives operational site-maturity assessments and drives improvement plans
- Lead cross-functional teams to identify process improvement opportunities and implement changes to drive operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Define and maintain a continuous improvement framework and toolkit, including process maps, metrics, and best practices.
- Assist with developing and deliver training programs to ensure all employees are proficient in process improvement methodologies and tools.
- Identify and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of operational excellence initiatives.
- Implements a culture of Performance Management and drives performance management objectives in line with global & regional requirements
- Work closely with global & regional FbM Standardization teams to define & implement standardized processes
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in logistics operations and process improvement, with a proven track record of success.
- Strong knowledge of process improvement methodologies, including Six Sigma, Lean, and Kaizen
- Classification: Internal
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Experience leading and mentoring a team of professionals.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
