Job announcement: Officer Operations – Ecobank
ECOBANK CAMEROUN S.A. is recruiting a Service Officer Operations ready to work across the national territory.
The position is based in Douala.
Job grade: 2A Job level: 3
NATURE OF CONTRACT: Permanent Contract
JOB PURPOSE:
- Supervision of Tellers activities and proofing of accounts of the retail operations perimeter.
- Ensure timely applicative and functional assistance to operators across branches to enable them to serve our valued clients within well-defined TAT limits in all remittances operations.
- Ensure daily compensation of Western Union and Rapid Transfer operations and maintain accurate and suspens free accounts thereof.
KEY RESPONSABILITIES
- Enforce groupwide standard procedures
- Review documentation for processed transactions to ensure strict respect of exchange regulation.
- Ensure that remittances service delivery timeframe is within the defined SLA and TAT.
- Conduct periodical controls set in the procedures across the affiliate
- Ensure daily processing of WU and RT settlement as per Voyager and Intranet respectively
- Ensure the reconciliation of RT and WU accounts on a daily basis –there should be no balance mismatch between Rapid Transfer/Western Union plateforms and CBA, investigate and resolve any outstanding items identified
- Prompt investigation and response to customers’ claims across branches
- Prepare and issue MIS reports on a timely basis to management.
- Ensure statutory declarations eg Pre-financing, Balance of Payment, Gatcha, etc are done for RT & WU transactions
- Ensure proofing/reconciliation of branch accounts: immediate credit, suspense accounts, teller differences, transit accounts…
- Ensure ATMs and POS function properly and proofs are updated and submitted in a timely manner
- Prepares daily consolidated cash report and advise branches
- Perform other functions as and when assigned by hierarchy.
REPORTING Line: Head Retail Operations
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in finance, accountancy, or banking operations
- At least 02 years experience in Banking Activities especially reconciliation of remittance – ATM – banks’ branch accounts
- Fluent in English & French.
