Job description: January 2023
Main responsibilities
Contribute to the understanding of the Protection of Family Links (PFL) sub-delegation and to
the development of recommended responses: Contributes to the planning of the PFL activities of the sub-delegation; • Implements the PFL activities of the sub-delegation (interview with beneficiaries, collection of files, insertion in the Prot 6 database, field research, etc.), according to the procedures in force
Ensure and maintain collaboration with the Cameroon Red Cross for PFL activities under sub-delegation coverage:
• Contribute to the implementation and monitoring of the activities of the family support program
missing persons;
Contribute to the implementation of the PFL response in favor of detainees and their families: Contribute to the consolidation of the protection statistics of the sub-delegation:
Development and maintenance of a network of relevant interlocutors on the spot and in the field (military and civilian authorities, non-state armed actors, civil society, NGOs Protection or DH, etc.) of its level:
Contribute to the communication operation as part of its activities that assist the protection department in different departments of offices and administrators, including report writing and translation.
Knowledge and job requirements
License / Master 1 in Sociology, Law, Social Sciences or any equivalent diploma; Two years of experience in the field of Protection or similar fields;
• Good knowledge of at least two of the following local languages: Kanuri, Fulfulde, Hausa, Arabic
Shoah;
Good experience in human rights with three good quality analyzes and reports:
Good knowledge of IT tools (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook):
Good knowledge of the socio-cultural context of the Far North: Excellent knowledge of French and English both orally and in writing;
Ability to work independently and to communicate regularly with his hierarchy ability to work in accordance with operational priorities and procedures;
Ability to show empathy and respect to beneficiaries, especially with people in distress;
Ability to work in a multicultural setting.
