JOB: Looking for a Driver and a Project Manager
As part of the implementation of the Project: “Strengthening the engagement of Local Actors in the Governance of Natural Resources in Northern Cameroon” for a period of 3 years and which aims to strengthen the individual and collective capacities of CSOs and CSO networks so that they are able to influence and support the inclusive development of their communities in the field of Natural Resource Management, a local NGO is opening two fixed-term positions.
Title: Project manager; Fixed-term contract with 3 months trial, Based in Ngaoundéré
- He is responsible for managing and coordinating the project and works under the supervision of the program coordinator and the Secretary General.
- He is responsible for managing relations with all project stakeholders and implementing the lobbying/advocacy component of the project.
Skills and qualifications
- Hold a university degree (Bac + 4 minimum) in forestry, natural resource management, environmental sciences, social sciences or any related field.
- Have at least 8 years in development projects linked to natural resources.
- Have at least 3 years of experience supporting (capacity building) civil society and assisting Civil Society Organizations in lobbying/advocacy.
- Have at least 3 years of experience in team management (having managed a team of at least 3 people),
- Experience working with Civil Society Organizations, traditional leaders, decentralized and decentralized public services particularly in the Northern area.
- Experience in managing projects financed by international donors including the European Union.
- Have made publications in areas relating to natural resource management, Good knowledge of participatory planning and results-based management tools; Good knowledge of project monitoring and evaluation, Good knowledge of training/coaching methods and techniques (having already led and facilitated several training workshops), Strong skills in analysis and report writing, Good command of IT tools and software current (Word, Excel, Power Point); Knowledge of the languages of the region, bilingualism, Excellent interpersonal skills.
Skills and qualifications
- Training: minimum BEPC, driving license B Experience of at least 5 years working as a driver with civil society organizations (national or international) and at least two years in Northern Cameroon.
- Sense of interpersonal skills and ability to work in a multicultural context.
- Mastery of the local language.
- Support experience in logistical work (photocopying, printing, etc.) is a plus.
