JOB: Music Teacher needed – Wakafrica Music

MUSIC TEACHER (F/M) – WAKAFRICA MUSIC

The music teacher will be responsible for providing high quality music lessons to students at our school. He/she will play a vital role in the musical education of our students by developing their musical skills, stimulating their creativity and fostering their love for music.

 

 

 

Responsibilities:

1. Plan and organize music lessons adapted to the levels and needs of the students.
2. Teach different musical instruments and/or musical theory according to established educational programs.
3. Encourage and support students in their musical progress by offering them personalized advice.
4. Organize auditions and concerts to allow students to perform in public and gain confidence.
5. Develop creative programs to stimulate students’ interest and foster their artistic expression.
6. Assess student progress and provide reports to parents on their achievements.
7. Collaborate with other teachers to integrate music into other areas of learning.
8. Participate in educational meetings and trainings to improve teaching skills.
9. Maintain a positive, encouraging and inspiring learning environment for students.

 

 

 

Requirements:

1. Degree in music education, music or related field.
2. Demonstrated experience teaching music, preferably with students of all ages and levels.
3. Strong musical skills and mastery of at least one musical instrument.
4. Thorough knowledge of music theory, performance techniques and teaching methods.
5. Ability to communicate effectively and encourage student creativity.
6. Sensitivity to cultural diversity and ability to adapt to different musical styles.
7. Passion for music education and commitment to the artistic development of students.

 

 

 

Conditions of employment:

• Type of contract: Full time / Part time
• Location: Bonapriso, Douala

• Salary: To be negotiated based on experience and qualifications
