1) Job Description:
We are looking for an Intern – Mattress Product Manager in Douala to continuously improve and optimize all processes.
Responsibilities of the Intern – Mattress Product Manager
The Mattress product manager intern is responsible for managing the life cycle of the Mattress range and lines. It intervenes from the design of products or services to promotional actions to promote marketing. He looks for areas of improvement, making sure to meet customer expectations while seeking to differentiate himself from competitors.
Missions of the Intern – Mattress Product Manager

Ensure a competitive watch on its universe of products;
-
Carry out a regular inventory of existing products according to customer segmentation;
-
Coordinate and/or carry out market studies;
-
Analyze market developments in order to propose adaptations or new products;
-
Define the consistency of the overall product or product line strategy as well as their profitability;
-
Position the product range according to the market and the overall marketing strategy;
-
Study the opportunities under the economic, organizational and commercial aspects;
-
Participate in exhibitions and fairs to learn about trends and possible new products;
-
Define the products to be created to stick as closely as possible to the request;
-
Develop and implement the mattress-specific marketing action plan
- Coordinate the various departments involved in the design process in a transversal way;
- Contribute to the definition of the pricing policy;
- Represent the sales and marketing department at work meetings, internal project committees and with partners;
- Participate in the drafting of the general conditions of sale;
- Write product or campaign pitches for salespeople, as well as product sheets;
- Propose commercial animation actions (conquest of new customers, diversification of the offer for an already loyal customer base, etc.) and the related budgets;
- Participate in the definition of sales support tools;
- Define tools for monitoring and reporting of marketing activity on Foams;
- Develop dashboards and activity reports;
- Participate in the commercial process in order to develop new customers. Produce daily, weekly, quarterly, half-yearly and annual activity reports;
- Ensure all other activities requested by the hierarchy, in relation to its function.
Required profile:

Good knowledge of management principles (budgeting, strategic planning, allocation of material resources;

Experience in managing the entire product life cycle will be an asset;

Knowledge in handling World IT tools; Excel; Power point ;
-
Experience in design and copywriting will be an asset;
-
Knowledge of market analyses;
-
Accustomed to product marketing tactics (e.g. integrated marketing campaigns);
-
Working knowledge of analytical tools;
-
Good communication skills coupled with an ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams;
-
Great attention to detail;
-
Creativity ;
-
Analytical mind and strong quantitative skills will be an asset;
-
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications or a related field.
