Job Description
Studies and produces the plans or drawings of construction projects, rehabilitations, interior and/or exterior work arrangements according to the technical and architectural solutions adopted and the regulations; in coordination with the designers of construction projects (architects, method engineers, project owners, etc.).
Access to employment
- This job/profession is accessible from a Baccalaureate level diploma (Professional Baccalaureate, Technician’s Certificate, etc.) in Building and Public Works design or in landscape computer graphics.
- Specific training (metal construction, electricity, roads, etc.) may be required.
- Proficiency in office software and Computer Aided Design and Drawing -CAO/DAO- is required.
- Proof of professional experience of at least 5 years
Main missions
- Gather technical data for the realization of plans
- Carry out field surveys from documents or topographic surveys
- Identify dimensional, functional and physical constraints
- Determine construction, installation and development solutions
- Realize or modify the diagrams, working drawings, plans of the works, the installations, the arrangements according to the standards and the evolutions of constraints
- Design nomenclatures for diagrams and plans
- Provide technical support to the contractor
- Evaluate the cost of operations for a project
- Make structural plans
- Make detailed plans (electrical cabinet, valve, sanitary equipment, etc.)
- Draw up climate engineering plans
- Make reservation plans
- Produce technical drawings for an overhead network
- Produce technical drawings for an underground network
- Make a recovery plan
- Assist technically in the development of Executed Works Files
- Assist technically in the development of building permit files
- Consult suppliers, subcontractors, service providers
- Select suppliers, subcontractors, service providers
- Control the performance of a service
- Trace on site exterior and interior layouts of structures
- Realize the digital model of a BIM project
- Manage a construction study project (construction, work, development, etc.)
- Coordinate the activity of a team
