The company STANDARDS SARL is looking for 01 Metrology Technician

PROFILE

• Diploma and level of education: BAC + 3 in Metrology
• Age: 30 years minimum
• Gender: Male/Female (female applications strongly encouraged)
• Experience: 05 years minimum in a similar position

MAIN MISSIONS

• Develop and propose to the management the main lines of the strategy of the metrology department.
• Implement and facilitate the agreed strategy and policy;
• Design a development strategy for the company’s Metrology Department;

MAIN TASKS 

• • Organize, coordinate and animate metrology activities;
  • Define calibration and verification methods and propose reference measurement instruments to the company and customers;
• Coordinate, plan and carry out calibration and verification interventions within the company and/or at customers’ premises;
• Control the flow of calibration and verification operations in customers’ production departments;
• Measure and analyze the impact of each action and, depending on the results, readjust its strategy;
• Organize subcontracting for the verification and qualification of equipment, if necessary;
• Ensure technological and regulatory watch in metrology;
• Train and sensitize production technicians in the use of measuring instruments;
• Implement metrology procedures, fact sheets and follow-up documents.

SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE

• Knowledge of the three (03) standards, ISO 9001, 14001, 45001 and their common HLS (“High-Level Structure”) structure;
• Knowledge of the environment of labour legislation and metrology;
• Knowledge of written and oral communication techniques; Mastery of metrology and statistics software;
• Mastery of metrology tools and instruments;
• Interpretation and exploitation of results and statistical data;
• Evaluation of measurement uncertainties, acceptance criteria and environmental conditions;
• English spoken and written fluently;
• Ability to assess opportunities and risks;
• Be able to use computer tools and business software;
• Be able to bring arguments to convince of the relevance of his proposals by presenting detailed reports to top management;
• Ability to organize and execute agreed planning on time;
• Be able to set up a performance monitoring and control system;
• Use of Computer Aided Design and Drafting (CAD/CAD) software
• Use of CAPM Computer-Aided Production Management Software
• Be able to adapt to innovations related to its environment;
• Be able to detect malfunctions related to his/her work;
• Be able to transmit knowledge to collaborators;
• Ability to work in a team;
• Be able to animate and stimulate a team;

• A letter of motivation addressed to the Director General;
• A CV;
• A photocopy of the CNI;
• A photocopy of the birth certificate;
• A photocopy of diplomas and certifying certificates;
• A photocopy of the various work certificates (for those who have already had to work).
