Job offer: Shipping & Stevedoring Manager

BEETLE HERITAGE HOLDING SA is currently looking for one (01) SHIPPING & ACCONAGE MANAGER for its headquarters based in Douala .

ACTIVITIES

SHIPPING :

Participation in the definition of the Import / Export strategy of products.
Ensure the implementation of the import/export strategy of products in compliance with time and cost procedures
Participate in the preparation of orders as well as the development of contracts with shipowners.

SHIPPING :

Coordinate handling operations on board ships, transport of goods as well as the planning of operations
Manage relations with other players in port logistics
Supervise the operations of unloading goods from the ship.
Manage port storage and removal to factory.
Plan and organize the hiring of dockers in conjunction with the relevant unions.
Act as liaison between the Port, the unions, the ship, the stevedore and the shipping agent.
Track ship arrival forecasts as well as berthing forecasts.
Respect the time limits for the stay of ships at the quay.
Make sure that all the documentation relating to the operations is stamped by the border and have them signed.
Ensure the proper application of QHSE instructions and requirements during ship and shore handling operations.
Coordinate all actions with the port police as well as the fire brigade if necessary.
Manage disputes / processing customer complaints (loss or damage to goods).
Plan and have approved the request for validation of costs, resources and time related to the handling and storage activity.
Ensure the security of goods and people during disembarkation.

REQUIRED PROFILE

Hold a BAC 3/5 in Logistics and Transport or similar discipline
Have at least 05 years of professional experience in port handling with 02 years of team management
Practical knowledge in Consignment, Stevedoring and Maritime Transit
Good knowledge of the regulations in the field of Lighterage
Good knowledge of QHSE
Knowledge of the office package
Knowledge of slinging and related techniques
Knowledge of warehousing and warehousing techniques
Very good practice of the English language
