Job Opportunity : Corporate Sales and Solutions
Corporate Sales and Solutions is the role that will sit within the Global Corporates Sales and Solutions, with direct accountability to the Regional Head. This is a critical role that will equally be responsible for driving the FX and solutions business for Cameroon as well as being the first line of defense in monitoring our Risk and Control.
Improving the ease of doing business for clients by having a focused, knowledgeable team able to provide cross product solutions to recurring issues.
Drive improvements the FX business and solutions origination.
Be a subject matter expert on the Exchange Control regulation in CEMAC.
Job Purpose:
Primarily responsible in managing and growing of Corporate FX client portfolio. Take lead in business initiatives that drive automation & efficiency as part of FX growth strategy. Identify new FX business opportunities through collaboration with product partners (e.g. BCMA, TTS, eFX etc.)
Responsibilities:
Execution / booking of FX trades including Spot, FWD and FX Options.
Ensuring that all “FX Flows” of assigned clients are captured in SONAR system accurately and timely.
Quantitative analysis of data to identify new business opportunity, portfolio optimization, macroeconomic and client trends.
Close interaction with internal partner units including BCMA, Trading, TTS, Operations, eFX and coverage groups to ensure seamless execution of client FX transactions and origination of digital FX opportunities.
FX Spread optimization by continuous evaluation of portfolio.
Documentation to onboard new clients and enable them on Citi e-platforms.
Distribute the Citi platform to a large client set in an automated, low touch way.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities.
Act as back up to Markets Head and Country Treasurer.
Good understanding of Balance Sheet, Markets and Liquidity Risk is plus.
Assist with control and supervisory framework to ensure adherence to audit and control policies.
Support the WCA CSS Team in market expansion initiatives on both GSG, PS and TTLC.
Ensure positive client experience.
Execution / booking of FX trades.
Liaise with Middle Office/Ops for smooth settlement of client FX trades.
Support broader WCA CSS team in trade execution and backup coverage.
Aid to achieve specified goals in both market and wallet share for the identified client franchise.
Originate and execute meaningful and landmark transactions.
Will independently and/or jointly work within business product to achieve the strategic growth and market share we are aiming for.
Partner closely with other key businesses and functions to ensure proper product deployment based on understanding of clients.
Help foster an environment of collaboration through interfacing with appropriate internal partners to enhance share of mind with clients, increase dialogue and to deliver on expertise.
Understand and analyze clients’ businesses and exposures to provide best suited sales solutions in full coordination with all relevant business partners.
Work in close partnership with control functions such as Legal, Compliance, Market and Credit Risk, Audit, Finance in order to ensure appropriate governance and control infrastructure.
Build a culture of responsible finance, good governance and supervision, expense discipline and ethics.
Appropriately assess risk/reward of transactions when making business decisions, demonstrating proper consideration for the firm’s reputation.
Be familiar with and adhere to Citi’s Code of Conduct and the Plan of Supervision for Global Markets and Securities Services
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm’s reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Knowledge/Experience:
6-8 years of experience in Capital Markets or in Operations, Risk, Client On-boarding, Finance, Relationship Management or Understanding of Markets Products or Financial Degree. Some experience working in a financial organization may help.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent). Fluency in French & English.
Skills:
Proficient with Microsoft Office, Bloomberg or credit risk and settlement systems.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Superior quantitative / problem-solving skills
Some knowledge of the products, clients, and business dynamics (flow derivatives, indices, single-stock, exotics, multi asset equity derivative products) will help.
Good understanding of Client Marketing needs
Strong culture of risk and controls.
