Besides, The position holder will be Responsible for providing the necessary support to the Landside Transport Team to timely prepare, collect and release the shipment documentation within the specified KPI, in accordance with agreed procedures and to ensure that no pending tasks remain opened after the delivery . To minimize or reduce in totality, all customs fines to the company. He/She also has to Manage the company finances allocated to the operations with high transparency and uprightness.

Main Responsibilities:

Take all measure to prevent and avoid any possible additional costs (storages/demurrage/detention/…) that can negatively affect the margin initially estimated. In case of any, review all the cases on weekly basis and analyze the reasons, suggest actions for improvement.

To execute in transparency and caution all customs related activities relating to release and movement of cargo within the limited transit time according to our SOP or the work order received.

To minimize or reduce in all totality, all customs fine to the company.

To ensure that advance payment done by the company are cleared within the specified timeline.

To execute in transparency and caution release of cargo in relation to work order set in place.

To ensure a good preparation of the loading to avoid any delay which will lead to truck immobilization during the execution of operations.

 

 

 

Ensure all the trucks released have the necessary documentation.

Take all measures to solve any issues preventing process completion, and if unsuccessful, immediately escalate to your direct supervisor

To ensure that all documents collected are uploaded in the related Trakit file and original are immediately kept in the physical file and sent at Douala office.

Support interaction with consignees, shippers, their representatives and potential clients of Maersk Cameroun SA ensuring that the company is always represented in the best possible light.

Ensure adherence with all security policies and SOP’s.

Key Requirements:

+ 1 year of experience in logistics is preferred.

Familiarity with port activities in Terminals.

French Fluency and conversational English is a must.

Previous experience in documentation.

High school degree is required.

Custom clearance formalities knowledge is an advantage.

Good level in MS package (Excel, Word…)

Uprightness and Tasks prioritization.

Solution finder, Team player, Solution oriented, and Customer oriented.

Knowledge of local logistics operations and systems.

Ability to Plan, Strong execution mindset, Stakeholder management, Analytical, Continuous improvement, and Communication skills.

Knowledge and relationships with key local stakeholders.
