Good Neighbors International (GNI) is an international NGO established in March 1991 in Seoul, South Korea. GNI is currently operating in 35countries all over the world and specialized in community development including activities of education and child protection; health promotion and prevention; water and sanitation; income generation; advocacy; community partnership and network building. Good Neighbors Cameroon has been working in Cameroon to promote health and education and to improve water and sanitation at the community level since 2014. Good Neighbors Cameroon, whose head office is based in Yaoundé, is looking for 01(One) Financial Assistant for the Yaoundé office.
I. JOB DESCRIPTION
1. Position: Financial Assistant
The staff will be under the supervision of the Finance Officer
In general, the Financial Assistant will participate in the execution of all tasks related to the work of the department and GNCMR in general.
2. Location: Yaoundé
A. Specific profiles required:
1. Check and review invoices to ensure that they are accurate and that all legal information is present.
2. Follow-up on the payment of bills (water, electricity, internet, social charges…)
3. Check all payment requests for purchases and supplies
4. Assisting in the management of stocks in collaboration with the department manager.
5. Prepare all supporting documents for review and approval (bank payment vouchers, income form, deposit vouchers, etc.)
6. Assist in bank account operations
7. Follow-up on all staff and prepaid expenses (travel payment and final expense summary).
8. Monitoring cash flow and preparing petty cash vouchers for project petty expenses and monthly petty cash management.
9. Assist the accountant in recording the monthly financial report.
10. monitor vehicle repair and maintenance, vehicle logbook and fuel
11. facilitate administrative and financial procedures
Liaise with the cleaning department and maintain an equipment inventory of all equipment
Liaise with the Logistics Department and manage monthly, quarterly and annual inventories.
14. perform other duties as requested by the hierarchy
15. react sensitively to emergency situations and problems.
B. Profile and qualifications required:
1. Be no more than 35 years’ old
2. Very good report and proposal writing skills
3. At least a bachelor’s degree in banking and finance, accounting, administration or any other equivalent degree.
4. Good organizational skills (good interpersonal skills and abilities);
5. Be able to read, write and speak at least one of the official languages but the English will be an asset
6. Be punctual, courteous, tactful and able to communicate sympathetically, be able to work under pressure with clarity and good humor;
7. Have at least two years’ experience in a financial and administrative department;
8. Be able to design, develop and write analytical and summary documents.
9. Be able to work and travel where the organization manages projects;
10. Computer skills (Word, Excel, Power Point…) and accounting skills (Quickbooks) are an asset.
11. Candidates must comply with the internal rules of the organization;

– A curriculum vita (maximum two pages), with at least two references attesting to good character and aptitude for work;
– A copy of the last diploma and certificates of professional experience
– A copy of the identity card
NB:
