The Opprotunity:
To ensure that Plan international Cameroon -through the Plan for Girls (P4G) project attains the vision of becoming a center of excellence for gender equality through organizational practice and programming in Cameroon. To attain this, efforts are geared in ensuring a Gender and particularly Girl’s issues project for the harmonious development of children.
The because I ‘am a girl (BIAAG movement) and Plan international gender and inclusive policy are translated into effective and innovative programs, and other initiatives benefiting children in Cameroon. The capacity of the Plan for Girls (P4G) project is enhanced to sustain effective gender transforming programming and also the reinforcement of the capacities of communities/partners to consider gender in their budgeting activities and planning.
The Gender Advisor will assist the Program Influencing & Implementation Team – and at times the Country Office management and frontline staff in designing & management of gender related interventions, ensuring that gender is cross-cutting in all projects.
You will also coach Plan International Cameroon staff, partners and communities to develop a greater understanding of issues related to gender. As the Gender Advisor, you will be supervised by the P4G Project Manager and you will jointly supervise Pyschosocial Workers along side the Child Protection Technical Officer.

About You:
As the Gender Advisor, your experience in Social Sciences and working with the NGO sector will allow you to timely and proactively discharge your duties. Also, your good planning, organization, supervision and openness to feedback will promote your ability to meet targets.
