Summary of the role
Assist the IT department in the implementation of new projects and the inventory of equipment. Respond to technical support requests for computer equipment and software (including desktop computers, laptops, communications equipment, tablets, computer peripherals, office software, and enterprise software applications) while providing a high level of customer service to end users.
Essential tasks :
- Work with project team leaders who will assign tasks and provide direction.
Diagnose and resolve technical issues with hardware, software applications, desktop printers, and AV equipment and escalate issues to appropriate technical personnel.
- Install, configure and maintain desktop workstations, laptops, tablets, scanning equipment, printers, operating systems and productivity software.
- Research issues using available information resources.
- Identify and escalate situations requiring urgent attention.
Track and escalate issues and requests and document resolutions.
- Keep up to date with system news, changes and updates.
Train staff in the maintenance of computer equipment
Requirements:
Working knowledge of computer software, hardware and related equipment.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems and the Microsoft Office suite of products (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).
General knowledge of enterprise network applications (such as case management and document management systems) preferred .
Terms
- Have a degree in computer science, or computer network
- Justify an experience of at least 2 years in the management of computer equipment, maintenance of copiers and printers
- Speak French and English
- Be available to work in the city of Maroua Cameroon
