Job Description
Strategy Implementation
Assist in the creation of sub-divisional strategy in line with overarching divisional goals
Ensure effective implementation of sub-divisional strategy by means of providing direction, structure, business plans and support
Operational Delivery:
Assess and consolidate all Core Planning CAPEX projects and submit to Network Group Finance for budget process preparation
Participate in supplier selection for the delivery of requisite Core Network solution
Plan and manage Core Network Planning budget
Provide directive / guidance for design of an optimized Core Network nodes ( BSC, RNC, MSC-S, MGW, SBC, HLR-FE, HSS-FE, EIR-FE, CUDB, SGSN-MME, GGSN/S-GW & P-GW, DPI, PCRF, ENM, U2020…).
Follow up Core project execution with the team to ensure project capitalization is done as planned
Assign technical lead for Core Network projects
Assign the right Core Network Planning resource for any raised issue or request from internal customers that need Core Network Planning team involvement
Follow up with suppliers any gap that is being raised during Core project execution
Prepare Scope and Swap plans for planned activities
Follow up to ensure permanent compliance of Business Continuity Process and Disaster Recovery Plan recommendations
Explore vendors enhanced products and features roadmaps as a proactive preparation of design architecture reviews
Bring support to any requirements coming from regulation or any unplanned revenue increase initiative from the business
Prepare PDP of Core Network Planning unit and share with Human resource team
Elaborate Core Network Planning team IPF
Evaluation performance of Core Network Planning team members
Approved change related to Core Network
Ensure the providing of all needed documents for Core related projects to CPG for project planning process (CPB, WBS, etc.)
Coordinate the elaboration of Core Network Planning INP
Coordinate the elaboration of SLAs with internal customers
Provide monthly financial, PDP, and project report to the management
Define job profiles and job descriptions of Core Network Planning team members
Perform needed action for staff recruitment within Data Planning unit
Ensure the providing of monthly KPI report for the unit
Provide key quarterly achievement and quarterly plan of the unit to the management
Validation of process and procedure governing Core Network Planning activities
Validation of Core Network Policies
Participate on training courses as booked or as recommended by HR

Education:
B.Sc. in Electrical/ Electronic or Telecommunications Engineering.
Work Experience
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in designing and implementing CS&PS&IP projects, with experience in supervising/managing others.
Experience working in a medium to large organization.
Experience with third party IT solutions providers
