Duties

 

This standard job description is for a Warehouse Supervisor who is responsible for the management and supervision of the supply warehouse operations involving the ordering, stocking, distribution and inventorying of all supply classes including both expendable and non-expendable items. This position provides supervision to all warehouse personnel and supply clerks. The position is in the General Services Section and under the supervision of the Assistant General Services Officer or Property Supervisor.

 

 

Qualifications and Evaluations

Requirements:

EXPERIENCE : Minimum of three (3) years of experience in warehousing and logistical support services, at least one year must have been at the supervisory level.

JOB KNOWLEDGE : Must be knowledgeable in security regulations as they apply to warehouse storage operations.

Education Requirements:

High School Diploma is required.

 




 

Ratings:

LANGUAGE : Good Working Knowledge (Reading/Writing/Speaking) English and French is required. This may be tested.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES :

    • Capable of planning and managing a wide variety of logistical operations (eg, space management, supply and equipment needs, etc.), acting independently, and exercising supervisory control over subordinate personnel.
    • Must have a valid, current license of category B. Must have had a valid driver’s license for a minimum of five (5) years.

These may be tested.

SALARY : The  annual gross salary includes : the Basic Rate, the Miscellaneous Benefits Allowance, and the End-of-the-Year Bonus. Seniority Allowance is paid in accordance with local labor law. A Cashier allowance is paid for eligible positions.

MEDICAL BENEFITS : The US Mission in Yaoundé directly reimburses eligible employees for covered medical expenses incurred for them and/or eligible dependents, subject to the stated limits of the Local Compensation Plan.

LEAVE BENEFITS:  Subject to the stated limits and rules of the Local Compensation Plan, employees are entitled to the following types of leaves: Annual Leave, Sick Leave, Maternity Leave, Special Leave.

HOLIDAYS:  The US Mission in Yaoundé and the Embassy Branch Office in Douala observes American and Cameroonian public holidays, about 19 holidays per year.

For Eligible Family Members (EFMs) , benefits should be discussed with the Human Resources Office.

The pay plan is assigned at the time of the conditional offer letter by the HR Office.

    1. The medical clearance is covered by the US Embassy, ​​and will be completed by the applicant separately, during the security certification process.
    1. Once HR Office receives the medical clearance and the security certification, the applicant will receive a Formal Offer with an agreed start date.
