PRESENTATION OF THE LEARNING PROGRAM
The LEARNING program (www.learn.auf.org) is part of an innovative response to the challenge
of the quality of education in French-speaking countries in sub-Saharan Africa. Its financing is
made possible by the budgetary contribution of the French Development Agency (www.afd.fr) whose main objective
is to strengthen the capacities of the pedagogical managers and services of the ministries in charge of education
(primary and middle school or fundamental) of several French-speaking sub-Saharan African countries and to
implement professional support for teachers with a view to improving
student learning in primary and secondary school.
I/ MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Under the supervision of the regional manager of the APPRENDRE program for Central Africa, the Great Lakes
and the Indian Ocean based in Yaoundé, the intern will have to provide support to the regional
program coordination team, for the organization two (2) scientific events and the mobilization of expertise,
with the following main missions:
• Planning and organization of national days of research and innovation in education
in the region
o Participate in the drafting of the terms of reference for the two days National Research
and Innovation in Education (Cameroon and Gabon)
o Participate in preparatory meetings by videoconference with ministry partners
and universities and write the reports
o Contribute to the logistical organization of the national days of research and innovation in
education in Cameroon and Gabon

o Contribute to the development of the scientific acts of these days
• Support for the identification and mobilization of expertise
o Participate in the various meetings between the coordination of the program and the
partner ministries and write the meeting minutes
o Contribute to the preparation of the terms of reference for the expert missions
proposed by the program in the countries of the region
o Contribute to the dissemination of these terms of reference via the partnership platform of expertise
APPRENDRE
o Participate in updating the catalog of experts
II/ QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS REQUIRED
Education
As a student at Master’s level, you are preparing a business school or university degree with a
specialization in project management or any other related discipline. You are enrolled in a
higher education institution member of the AUF in September 2022.
Experience
Ideally, you have a first experience in the field of project management acquired during
a first significant internship.
Skills
• Open-mindedness and ability to work in a team
• Good command of office tools (Microsoft Office365 suite) and knowledge of ERP
• Ability to take initiative and make proposals
• Ability to analyze and synthesize
• Sense of organization and priorities
• Relational and editorial skills
• Fluency in written and spoken French
• Interest in working in a multicultural environment
• Interest in the education in developing countries
• Ability to adapt to different levels of interlocutors
III/ CONDITIONS
• Place of employment: Central Africa Regional Office – Yaoundé (Cameroon)
• Type of contract: Paid internship for a minimum duration of three (3) months
Compulsory academic internship agreement
• Starting date: November 2022
• Remuneration: According to the scale in force
