SOCIAL MEDIA COMMUNITY MANAGER

Type of role: Part time

Grassland is a food storage, drying, and distribution company that sources products from smallholder farmers, whom we support during the season with input loans and training, so that they can be more productive. We transform the farmers’​ produce into standardized, graded products that we sell to large industrial buyers  who can be sure of the quality they receive. Our flagship product BooWee is Cameroon’s first fortified instant fermented maize cereal.

Grassland Cameroon is looking for a sharp and dynamic digital marketer to design, create & engage our digital community for our flagship product across the following platforms: Tiktok, Instagram, Twitter & Facebook.

 

Responsibilities

• Create, design organize & push social media content marketing our products and promotional campaigns
• Manage day-to-day social media campaigns. Duties include online advocacy, writing and overall promotion of the brand on the web
• Work with management team to generate marketing and branding content to be deployed on social media
• Manage presence in social networking sites including Tiktok, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and other similar community sites, posting on relevant blogs, and seeding content into social applications as needed
• Manage comments and requests left via contact sheet on company website
• Liaise with management to update the website as necessary.
• Become an advocate of the Company in social media spaces, engaging in dialogues and answering questions where appropriate
• Provide regular feedback based on insights gained from social media monitoring to management for sales and trade show or other opportunities

 

 

 

Requirements

• Strong project management or organizational skills
• Keen interest in brand development and management
• Excellent writing skills in English & French
• Demonstrated digital marketing knowledge and experience
• Aware of cultural references for the Cameroonian and international markets
• In-depth knowledge and understanding of social media platforms and strategies to improve engagement and community building
• Knowledge of blogging ecosystem relevant to agribusiness and our product
• Strong team player, with quick decision making skills & the ability to multitask
