The new member is expected to play a crucial role within the organization by contributing to the smooth running of daily operations while ensuring rigorous financial management. He or she must combine management, accounting, and logistics skills to effectively contribute to the management of daily tasks and the financial health of the organization.

  • What are we looking for?

For the implementation needs of the interventions of the Cameroon platform, PSI would like to secure the skills of an Administrative and Financial Assistant. Under the supervision of the Project Director of the Access to Reproductive Health Program (PASSR), he/she will ensure the practical management of administrative, financial and logistical aspects in collaboration with the support services of PSI Cameroon. He/she ensures the proper administrative and financial monitoring of the project.

  • Contract Type: Fixed-term contract (2 years)
  • Start date: April 2025
  • Travel requirement: less than 10% of the time
  • Reports to the Program Manager
  • The post holder will be placed on a salary scale in accordance with PSI Cameroon standards and will benefit from capacity building training to the extent that the platform allows;

For this position, the candidate will have to demonstrate, through previous experience, that he/she can effectively carry out the missions listed below. This list is not exhaustive and summarizes the main responsibilities and requirements. The incumbent may also be responsible for tasks not mentioned. Provide Administrative Support

  • Provide support in the administrative management of the project;
  • Draft administrative correspondence;
  • Ensure the circulation of official mail;
  • Provide technical support to project staff and provide them with resources and expertise in areas of administrative management;
  • Carry out the recording and classification of the various documents received; Support and monitor all project purchases;
  • Provide logistical support for the organization of project seminars and workshops;
  • Receive travel advance requests and supporting documents for activity expenses for signature;
  • Ensure the circulation of information, communicate with PSI services and external partners;
  • Ensure logistics (reservation and travel);
  • Attend meetings and prepare reports and minutes;
  • Provide support in the management of general resources
  • Ensure the availability of cleaning products and management of the small stock of office equipment;
  • Monitor the establishment and renewal of administrative documents relating to the organization’s rolling stock and/or verify the updating of administrative documents for equipment rented from third parties;
  • Ensure fuel replenishment according to current solutions.

Provide support in financial management

  • Manage accounts payable and receivable;
  • Maintain bank statements and perform bank reconciliations;
  • Maintain financial records;
  • Ensure petty cash management in accordance with current procedures
  • Assist in developing the budget and forecasts;
  • Assist with audits;
  • Ensure that supporting documents are returned to headquarters on time;
  • Provide the necessary support for the preparation of financial reports.
  • Education
  • Essential: Minimum (Bac+2) in Administration, logistics, Management, Accounting or Finance.
  • Desired: Minimum (Bac+3) in Administration, logistics, Management, Accounting or Finance.
  • Experience
  • Minimum two (02) years of professional experience (required) in a similar position, preferably in a relevant organization or in an international NGO.
  • Required skills:
  • Plan and organize work
  • Mastery of new technologies
  • Have proven mastery of the office suite;
  • Have knowledge of data analysis;
  • Write and speak fluently in French or English; fluency in the other language strongly recommended.

  • Preparation and submission of the application file:
  • Cover letter;
  • Detailed curriculum vitae;
  • Photocopies of the required diplomas. A verification of the Diplomas will be carried out for the successful candidate;
  • Photocopies of documents that justify the candidate’s experience (employment contracts, employment certificate, relevant work certificate);
  • Three professional references who are not related to the candidate (including two from the last two employers).
