PSI Cameroon would like to recruit the skills of a Research and Monitoring-Evaluation Officer for the implementation of the platform’s interventions . The successful candidate will be a key player in facilitating the management of project data and advancing the provision of Reproductive Health services.

- The post holder will be placed on a salary scale in accordance with PSI Cameroon standards and will benefit from capacity building training to the extent that the platform allows;

For this position, the candidate will have to demonstrate, through previous experience, that he/she can effectively carry out the missions listed below. This list is not exhaustive and summarizes the main responsibilities and requirements. The incumbent may also be responsible for tasks not mentioned. Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E)
- Develop and implement an integrated monitoring and evaluation system to ensure the tracking of project activities in relation to strategic objectives and performance indicators.
- Develop a monitoring and evaluation plan (M&E) for community activities with clear mechanisms for data collection, analysis and dissemination.
- Provide oversight and implementation of data quality monitoring protocols, including quality assurance and validation of collected data.
- Produce and regularly analyze performance monitoring reports (quarterly, half-yearly and annual) to inform decision-making.
- Develop interactive dashboards to facilitate data visualization and use by stakeholders.
- Train local staff and partners on good practices in monitoring and evaluation and the use of M&E tools.
Research and data analysis
- Support the design and supervision of operational research studies related to project interventions.
- Lead beneficiary satisfaction studies and trend analysis to adapt program strategies.
- Develop and implement innovative data collection tools adapted to the local context.
- Ensure the capitalization of best practices and their dissemination to teams and partners.
- Conduct impact evaluations to measure the effectiveness of the interventions implemented.
Data management and exploitation
- Ensure database management and analysis, including via software such as DHIS2, Excel, Power BI or other relevant tools.
- Implement secure storage and data access protocols to ensure the confidentiality and integrity of the information collected.
- Strengthen the use of evidence in decision-making, in collaboration with implementation teams.
- Education
- Minimum (Bac+4) or equivalent in Monitoring-Evaluation, Epidemiology, statistics or other equivalent disciplines.
- Experience
- Minimum five (05) years of experience in research, monitoring and evaluation in a reproductive health project or other public health programs. Have experience in using DHIS2, coordinating, conducting or facilitating training on data collection/M&E tools. Have the ability to interact with a wide range of actors and institutions, both governmental and non-governmental, across all sectors.
- Required skills:
- Ability to review and prepare project reports;
- Ability to take initiatives;
- Proficiency in office tools (Office Pack), particularly Excel and PowerPoint;
- Experience with statistical analysis software (SPSS, STATA, R, etc.);
- Skills in data visualization and interpretation;
- Have very good writing skills;
- Have the ability to work under pressure;
- Have the ability to travel for work;
- Write and speak fluently in French or English; mastery of the other language strongly recommended;
- Have a structured mind and good written expression skills;
- Have a willingness to work under deadline pressure and to challenge oneself.
