JOB: Translators – SASA B2E Cameroon
TRANSLATORS – SASA B2E CAMEROON
We are recruiting for our client in the Import-Export and Manufacturing Industry sector TWO (02) CHINESE-FRENCH TRANSLATORS.
Activities:
- Read the given content and look for industry-specific terminology
- Convert texts and audio recordings from one language to one or more others
- Ensure translated content conveys the original meaning and tone
- Prepare subtitles for videos and online presentations
- Use multiple reference dictionaries and translation tools to control translation quality
- Proofread translated texts for accuracy in terms of grammar, spelling and punctuation
- Follow up with internal team members and clients to ensure the translation meets their needs
- Edit the content, making sure to maintain its original format (e.g. font and structure).
- Network with industry experts to stay informed about the latest translation tools and practices
Required profile:
- Proven professional experience as a translator, interpreter or in a similar position
- Perfect command of the Chinese language
- Excellent editing skills with the ability to identify grammar, spelling and punctuation errors
- Good knowledge of editing tools
- Knowledge of translation software
- Time management skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Chinese translation and knowledge of Chinese culture
- Additional certification in linguistics is an advantage
