The Société Le Grand Moulin du Cameroun (SGMC) created in 1991 is a company manufacturing and marketing soft wheat flour from milling in Cameroon and for neighboring countries.
It combines its operational know-how with internal and external skills, by selecting choice raw materials and technological innovation, to always offer its customers suitable products in strict compliance with local and international quality requirements, personal safety, food safety and environmental management.
Due to the increase in its activity, SGMC is recruiting a CSR and Compliance Manager
Placed under the responsibility of the General Director, his activities will be, among others :
1) Support the General Management in the definition and implementation of the SGMC Sustainable Development Policy:
- Define, implement, manage and develop the implementation of the Sustainable Development Policy (PDD);
- Define, implement, deploy and adjust the tools, procedures and methods for the implementation of the PDD;
- Monitor the use of CSR tools and procedures by SGMC.
2) Ensure compliance with all applicable schemes and procedures put in place on a mandatory or voluntary basis by the SGMC within the framework of the Ethics, Social Responsibility and Compliance policy set by General Management:
- Supervise the implementation and compliance with all Ethics and Compliance procedures;
- Identify non-conformities and deviations and design and lead corrective action plans in conjunction with stakeholders as part of third-party assessments;
- Train people who use the Ethics and Compliance framework, including external stakeholders.
3) Represent the SGMC’s Ethics, Social Responsibility and Compliance commitment to all stakeholders:
- Support the various Departments in implementing defined Ethics, Social Responsibility and Compliance actions;
- Represent the SGMC and ensure continuous, quality dialogue with all company stakeholders (Administration, service providers, suppliers, employees, civil society, etc.);
- Promote actions undertaken by the company internally and externally;
- Carry out reporting while ensuring compliance with deadlines, reliability and quality of the information provided in relation to Headquarters requirements.
Theoretical and practical knowledge:
- Theoretical (training): Corporate social responsibility, Compliance officer or any relevant training related to the position. Knowledge of project management is also necessary.
- Practices (know-how/being): Good analytical skills, organizational skills, versatility, ability to work in a team.
- Sense of confidentiality, strength of proposal and communication/pedagogy facilities, good interpersonal skills, good presentation, strong organizational skills, rigor and method, sense of responsibility
Level of study and years of experience: This job/profession is accessible with a Bac+5 level diploma (Master, Engineer). Experience of 03 to 05 years in a similar position.
