General information​​​​​​​

Made up of a group of Cameroonian shareholders, Africa Global Logistics, CMA CGM and CHEC, the Kribi Conteneurs Terminal consortium is the concessionaire of the container terminal of the deep-water port of Kribi.
KCT offers the Cameroonian logistics chain a modern infrastructure, adapted to the new generation of transoceanic vessels, including 350-meter quays that can accommodate vessels with a capacity of up to 11,000 TEUs. The infrastructure and equipment comply with the highest international standards.

A true gateway to Cameroon and its hinterland countries, such as Chad and the Central African Republic, this new terminal is expected to facilitate the growth of regional trade and accelerate the country’s economic growth. Kribi Conteneurs Terminal also wishes to position itself as a transhipment hub.

Job Description

Mission Description

– Execute and apply the guidance rules during loading/unloading, stowing and lashing/stripping operations;
– Execute pinning operations (remove/fit twislocks);
– Carry out lashing operations and secure the handling of all heavy packages;
– Execute the gestures and postures specific to manual handling operations;
– Guide drivers during handling operations;
– Ensure the securing of containers on the ship with the appropriate equipment;
– Report to the ship coordinator any anomaly noted on board the ship and any defective equipment;
– Propose any developments to improve the service related to his activity and diligently apply the procedures relating to the area for which he is responsible;

– In a non-limiting manner, make his skills available to the company according to the service requirements wherever and whenever needed;
– Be actively involved in the process of continuous improvement of customer satisfaction and the company’s results, as well as in its QHSE approach, in the methods necessary for the preservation of equipment by the teams for which it is responsible and in the preservation of equipment made available by reporting any anomaly noted to its hierarchy;
– In a non-limiting manner, make its skills available to the company according to the needs of the service wherever it is needed and when the time comes;
– Ensure, at all times, adherence to the values, code of conduct and internal regulations of KRIBI CONTENEURS TERMINAL.

Profile

– Have been recognized as fit for the medical examination
– Hold at least a BEPC or any other equivalent diploma
– Fluent in French (read and write)

– Have a Professional Qualification Certificate (desirable)
– Understand KCT policy and its values
​​- Good knowledge of gestures and postures specific to handling activities
– Good mastery of vertical (lolo) and horizontal (roro) mechanized handling techniques
– Required skills: Very good physical resistance – Strong mechanical and technical skills – Compliance with work instructions – High concentration and precision – Dynamism, punctuality and speed – Ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds.
