Local Action for Participatory and Self-managed Development (ADELPA) is launching a call for applications for the position of Accounting Assistant.
Line Supervisor: Under the supervision of the Administrative and Financial
Officer Duty Station: Garoua Boulai or Betaré-Oya
Number of places: 01
Duration: 05 Months (Renewable)




DUTIES

Finance and accounting

  •  Preparation and monthly, quarterly and annual monitoring of project budgets in particular:
  •  Supervision of receipts, audits, training, qualifications, miscellaneous,
  •  Management of disbursement authorizations;
  •  Management and follow-up of unpaid invoices with project partners Preparation and payment of suppliers,
  •  Preparation and maintenance of accounting documents,

Cash flow monitoring and budget monitoring

  •  Participation in the drafting of project financial reports to the RAF
  •  Planning, analytical and budgetary monitoring of project accounts
  •  Cost monitoring and control of the allocation of funds,
  •  Participation in the development of strategies to guarantee the balance and financial sustainability of ALDEPA,
  •  Support for budgeting. monitoring and budget revision of projects on time according to the operational schedule validated by the Coordination and donors
  •  Assists auditors in conducting audits
  • Monitoring the archiving of financial and accounting documents Monitoring of wealth management
  • Ensures compliance with ALDEPA and donor procedures in budgets, amendments and financial reports and procurement and drafting of contracts and minutes,

Human Resources (HR)

    • Preparation of payroll for project staff under the control of GAF
    • Drafting of employment contracts; Participation in recruitment:
  • Monitoring compliance with social obligations (personnel file, declaration and settlement of social contributions, leave planning)
  • Implementation and monitoring of the training and retraining plan for staff and target groups.

Administration

  • Preparation and organization of the logistics of the project meetings with regard to ALDEPA and writes the minutes with the project manager, Management of insurance contracts, telephone operators, audit service providers etc. of the project;
  • Participation in strategic meetings,
  • Participation in project assessment missions Perform any other duties assigned to it.

PROFILE

  • Be of Cameroonian nationality,
  • Have a university education in accounting and finance or any other equivalent degree (minimum BAC + 3);
  • Have at least 3 years of professional experience in accounting, administrative and financial management and a perfect knowledge of the procedures of European institutional donors (EU and AFD) etc. and having already led this type of function at this level of responsibility in a similar organization.
  • Be methodical, organized and able to pay great attention to detail,
  • Be available and agree to do missions in remote areas of Far North Cameroon.

  • Listening skills, sense of diplomacy and the search for compromises, autonomy and dynamism
  • Strong taste for teamwork, great ability to listen and dialogue, coupled with a methodical and rigorous approach,
  • Very good writing skills (reports, summaries, capitalization and tools);
  • Good command of computer software for financial management (sage saari)
