PRESS RELEASE FROM THE MINISTER DELEGATE TO THE PRESIDENT IN CHARGE OF DEFENSE

It is brought to your attention to young Cameroonians of both sexes, wishing to pursue a career in the Defense Forces, that a competition for the recruitment of 300 Gendarmerie Non-Commissioned Officers (NCOs) with the General Service option, 40 Gendarmerie Non-Commissioned Officers (NCOs) with the Military Health option, and 3000 Gendarme Cadets is open in the chief towns of the 10 administrative regions of Cameroon.
The 3000 Gendarme Trainees will be distributed as follows:

  2500 Gendarme Trainees of the General Service  
     100 musicians (BEPC level or equivalent) in the specialties of pianists, guitarists, percussionists, vocalists, sound technicians with a proven level of musical practice 
  300 Various technicians (CAP level) in the following fields 
     Automotive mechanics: 70 places ,
  Automotive electricity: 40 places , 
  Metal carpentry boilermaking: 30 places ,
     Refrigeration and air conditioning: 30 places,  
  Wood carpentry: 40 places,
  Electronics: 20 places,,
  Building electricity: 30 places ,
     Plumbing: 40 places and 
     100 Drivers of public works machinery and heavy or light goods vehicles (BEPC level or equivalent) holding a driving license of the corresponding categories.
The conditions to be met are as follows.

APPLICATION CONDITIONS 

Be of Cameroonian nationality, have never been convicted, be single with no dependent children, be of good moral character, be able to pass the prescribed sporting, intellectual and medical tests, have a minimum height of 1.66 meters for boys and 1.60 meters for girls, be able to pass the practical aptitude tests for Specialists.
 SPECIFIC APPLICATION CONDITIONS FOR
GENDARMERIE NON-COMMISSIONED OFFICER CADETS, GENERAL SERVICE OPTION
  Be at least 18 years old on December 31, 2025 and at most 23 years old on December 31, 2025 (i.e. be born between December 31, 2007 for the younger ones and December 31, 2002 for the older ones) 
O hold the Probatoire or GCE/AL obtained in at least 02 (two) subjects except religion or an equivalent diploma. However, in the absence of the GCE/AL, the GCE/OL obtained in 06 (six) subjects except religion is accepted.
 SPECIFIC APPLICATION CONDITIONS FOR GENDARMERIE NON-COMMISSIONED OFFICER STUDENTS MILITARY HEALTH OPTION
  Be at least 18 years old on December 31, 2025 and at most 28 years old on December 31, 2025 (i.e. be born between December 31, 2007 for the younger ones and December 31, 1997 for the older ones) or hold the Probatoire or the GCE/AL obtained in at least 02 (two) subjects except religion or an equivalent diploma. However, in the absence of the GCE/AL, the GCE/OL obtained in 06 (six) subjects except religion is accepted. 
  Hold the State nursing diploma or the 5fiédicc-Sanitaire Technician diploma, or an equivalent diploma from an approved training establishment. 

Diplomas in psychology, psychiatry, resuscitation, stomatology, radiology, cardiology, physiotherapy, ENT, virology, bacteriology, parasitology, immunology, general microbiology, medical science, obstetrics and midwifery diplomas are an additional asset for candidates who hold them
IV- SPECIFIC APPLICATION CONDITIONS FOR GENERAL SERVICE GENDARME STUDENTS
O Be at least 18 years old on December 31, 2025 and at most 23 years old on December 31, 2025 (i.e. born between December 31, 2007 for the youngest and December 31, 2002 for the oldest) o Hold the BEPC, or the CAP/ or the GCE/OL obtained in 04 (four) subjects except religion or an equivalent diploma.
 SPECIFIC APPLICATION CONDITIONS FOR SPECIALIST GENDARME STUDENTS
  Be at least 18 years old on December 31, 2025 and at most 25 years old on December 31, 2025 (i.e. born between December 31, 2007 for the younger ones and December 31, 2000 for the older ones) or hold the BEPC, or the CAP, or the GCE/OL, or the GCE/OL Technical, or the Technical and Vocational Education Examination Intermediate Level/ obtained in 04 (four) subjects except religion or an equivalent diploma depending on the chosen specialty.
COMPOSITION OF THE APPLICATION FILE
  01 handwritten application stamped at 1500 CFA francs, signed by the candidate and addressed to the Minister Delegate to the Presidency in charge of Defense  
  01 certified copy of the birth certificate dated less than 03
(three) months 
  01 certified copy of the required diploma or 02 (two) diplomas for the Military Health option  
  01 certificate of presentation of the original of the required diploma or the 02
(two) diplomas for the Military Health option  
  01 signed curriculum vitae of the candidate;
  01 duly completed information sheet  
  04 4×4 color photos without hairstyle 
  01 certificate of nationality issued by the competent services •
  01 extract from the criminal record, bulletin no. 3 dating from less than 03 months issued by a competent authority 01 certificate of celibacy,
  01 stamped envelope at 1500 CFA francs addressed to the candidate.
Candidates will pay against receipt to the Head of the Administrative and Financial Office of the Gendarmerie Legion of the file submission center, a sum of LO 000F (ten thousand francs) CFA for candidates Gendarme Cadets of the General Service, 25,000F (twenty-five thousand francs) CFA for candidates for Specialist Gendarme Cadets and 15,000F (fifteen thousand francs) CFA for candidates for the Gendarmerie Non-Commissioned Officer Cadet competitions, General Service option and Military Health option, representing the competition fees.
However, for all these 04 (four) Specialties, it is strongly recommended that each candidate include in their file a certified photocopy of their highest diploma, with a certified copy of [a supporting document for [a technical qualification held, if applicable.
Candidates’ attention is drawn to the fact that they must not enter into marriage before completing 03 (three) years of service.
Candidates must be able, if necessary, to present authentic diplomas to the competent committees, under penalty of rejection of their files.
