Handicap International supports associations for people with disabilities in the countries in which it operates. Its goal is to empower people with disabilities to promote and defend their rights (access to health services, education, employment, sports, and culture).
Handicap International (HI) announces the recruitment of twenty (20) Supervisors

 

Context :

Established in 2014, the HI Institute for Humanitarian Action has a dual, essential role in a world where intervention conditions are becoming increasingly complex:

– A monitoring and surveillance role: its purpose is to define positions on the ethical and political questions that the association faces and which determine the relevance of its actions as well as the safety of its teams.

– A catalyst for reflection and debate: through its publications, debate sessions, and position papers, the HI Institute for Humanitarian Action contributes to the enrichment and vitality of our ideas, values, and principles. It provides both the perspective and perspective needed to achieve the association’s mission.

 

Main Missions:

Team management :
o Supervise a team of 5 to 10 field investigators.

o Organize and lead briefings before the start of investigations.

o Provide training to investigators on Kobbo Collect and collection methodologies.

Data quality control :
o Check data collected via Kobbo Collect daily for inconsistencies.

o Carry out field audits to ensure compliance with procedures.

o Correct and return incomplete or erroneous questionnaires for revision.

Logistics management and reporting:
o Plan investigators’ tours and optimize their travel.

o Produce daily or weekly progress reports.

o Identify and resolve technical or operational problems (refusal, difficult access, etc.).

Interface de coordination :
o Report progress to the project manager.

o Participate in follow-up meetings and adjust the methodology if necessary.

 

Qualifications and skills :

· Minimum BAC + 3 in Project Management, statistics or any other related fields.

· Proven experience in supervising investigators or managing data collection projects.

· Advanced mastery of Kobbo Collect (or similar tools: ODK, SurveyCTO).

· Excellent knowledge of the study area (local languages, customs and traditions).

· Analytical skills : Ability to detect anomalies in datasets.

· Leadership : Ability to motivate and supervise a field team.

· Rigor and responsiveness : Respect for deadlines and management of unforeseen events.

· Experience in data collection related to the health system, SAME, advocacy, local governance, mental health in an NGO

 

Professional experiences :

– Experience in rural animation work

– Experience in data collection
