RESPONSIBILITIES
General Responsibilities:
Works in accordance with NRC policies, tools, manuals and guidelines.
Writes reports on the progress of support activities upon request from the supervisor or management.
Ensures the correct archiving of documents.
Specific Responsibilities
Participate in the design and improvement of monitoring and evaluation tools used so that they capture the effects of program activities;
Demonstrate, based on field data, the impact/effect of program interventions on beneficiaries;
Support the monitoring and evaluation (qualitative and quantitative) of all activities undertaken in the area of assignment;
Carry out monthly data quality assessment (DQA), particularly on Project Trackers, as well as the standard model previously defined and approved, with project implementation partners and Program teams;
Ensure monitoring and monthly data entry into GORS.
Monitor the updating of data on CORE in collaboration with the program teams.
Identify and document the risks resulting from our implementation approach, the behavior of the various internal and external stakeholders during post-intervention monitoring;
Identify areas for improvement in the implementation and design of interventions and share this information with the Program teams and the management team;
Guarantee post-intervention monitoring and reporting that is well analyzed, rigorous and consistent for all programs and that all intervention data and reports are integrated into the internal reporting database. This requires close collaboration with the Data Base Officer;
Establish your quarterly work plan (with details of the various deadlines) for the monitoring and evaluation of interventions, have it validated by the MEL Officer and share with the technical managers concerned and all the people concerned (including logistics, administration and finance).
Participate in the identification, documentation and sharing of lessons learned and success stories illustrating the improvements made to the situation of beneficiaries by NRC and provide the necessary numerical data and analyzes carried out for the writing of reports (internal or external) and new projects;
Contribute to the implementation and monitoring of the complaints and feedback mechanism in collaboration with the CFM Assistant.
Participate in meetings, working groups, seminars and training workshops – internal or external;
Prepare the terms of reference for project evaluations, studies and surveys;
Design data entry masks;
Ensure data entry for reports, studies and surveys in entry masks.
Contribute to capacity building in monitoring-evaluation and capitalization of all program staff through training and professional support;
Ensure monitoring of beneficiary databases;
Monitor the archiving of program documents in accordance with NRC policy;
Perform primary data analyses;
Perform any other task assigned by the hierarchy
QUALIFICATIONS
General professional skills:
At least a Bachelor’s degree in monitoring and evaluation, social sciences, development studies or similar fields.
Professional experience in Monitoring and Evaluation in a humanitarian context.
Experience in data collection, analysis, calculation, management and reporting.
Previous work experience in complex and unstable environments.
Proven results on position responsibilities.
Context-specific skills, knowledge and experiences:
In-depth knowledge of the social, cultural, economic and legal context of the Far North.
Knowledge of Education, Food Security and Livelihoods, Civil Documentation, Housing, Land and Property, Shelter, WASH and Protection programs would be an asset. In-
depth knowledge of GIS, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook software.
Good knowledge of Kobotools.
Knowledge of the principles and approaches of evaluation and monitoring in humanitarian and development programs.
Have a degree in monitoring and evaluation, social sciences, project management, statistics or related sciences or any other equivalent degree.
Fluency in French, both oral and written.
Knowledge of English is an asset.

We offer:
12-month employment contract renewable depending on availability of funds
Work location: Yaoundé with 75% field travel.
Salary/Benefits: Grade 4 step 1 of the NRC Cameroon salary scale
Desired start date: May 2024
