RECRUITMENT NOTICE FOR A MEDICAL SUPPORT COORDINATOR
MSF is a non-governmental humanitarian organization, created in France in 1971, under the status of a non-profit association. The Swiss section was created in 1981. Nobel Peace Prize winner in 1999, MSF’s mission is to provide humanitarian medical aid to any affected population without distinction of ethnicity, gender, religion, philosophy or political opinion.
Médecins Sans Frontières Switzerland is looking for a MEDICAL SUPPORT COORDINATOR for its coordination in Yaoundé.
Workplace: Yaoundé with travel to projects
Type of contract: Fixed-term contract with possibility of renewal
Direct Manager: Medical Coordinator
Level: 09 according to the MSF salary scale

GENRAL OBJECTIVE
The Medical Support Coordinator’s main mission is to assist the Medical Coordinator in the implementation of all medical content, activities and resources; take charge of certain tasks delegated by the coordinator and provide assistance during specific activities, in order to facilitate the strictly medical management of the project and the mission.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Apply the employee health policy and participate in the evaluation of hospital structures that can serve as a reference for national and international staff. Participate in the medical monitoring of MSF staff at the request of the medical coordinator and ensure the link and advice between the staff and the health insurer staff validated on the mission in collaboration with the hierarchical superior.
Prepare a monthly staff care report and maintain the link with the occupational physician and the consulting psychologist and ensure regular monitoring of staff with chronic pathologies.
Actively participate in exploratory missions and emergency interventions at the request of the medical coordinator and ensure the implementation of medical activities according to the medical-operational guidelines and MSF and MOH protocols.
At the request of the medical coordinator can provide replacements in the field / projects and participate in the implementation of the medical activities of the project.
Participate in external meetings or any other meeting at the request of the medical coordinator Participate in the collection and management of project data as well as in the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual reports and organize the archiving of data and medical reports within the framework of the project. Perform other tasks at the request of the Medical Coordinator (exceptional reinforcement of a field team, participation in evaluations, etc.)
