Job Title: Midwife

Location: Serenity Medical Center, Damas, Yaoundé

 

Job Description:

We seek a qualified and compassionate Midwife to join our team at Serenity Medical Center. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality maternal and newborn care, including antenatal, delivery, and postnatal services. In addition to midwifery duties, the candidate will support general nursing tasks across departments as needed.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct antenatal consultations and monitor pregnancies

· Manage normal labor and delivery, and provide immediate newborn care

· Offer postnatal follow-up and breastfeeding support

· Identify and refer obstetric complications promptly

· Administer medications and monitor patient vitals

· Assist in general nursing duties such as wound care, injections, and inpatient monitoring

· Maintain accurate patient records and support health education activities

· Ensure infection prevention and control practices are followed

· Participate in community activities

 

Qualifications:

· State-recognized Diploma in Midwifery

· Minimum 2 years of experience in a clinical setting

· Good communication and teamwork skills

· Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team and under pressure
