Under the authority of the Executive Director, the National Project Coordinator will have to perform the following tasks:
Functions and responsibilities
Ensure national coordination of the project;
Participate in the development of the work plan and annual budget of the project;
Participate in the development of the quarterly action plan for the implementation of activities in the regions based on the quarterly action plan developed at the central level;
Monitor and evaluate project interventions at all different levels of interventions in collaboration with the Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning Manager;
Ensure that the data collected is processed, analyzed and compiled on time;
Ensure that quarterly and annual activity reports are drafted and submitted on time;
Ensure that regularly audited data are of good quality and submitted on time;
Ensure that monitoring and evaluation activities of the various intervention sites comply with national policies and guidelines;
Monitor the implementation of recommendations from auditors and supervisors;
Participate in the coordination, annual planning and project monitoring meetings.
Job profile
Hold a Doctorate in Medicine, a Master 2 or equivalent diploma in the following fields: public health, politics, and / or public administration, social sciences, international development, community development;
Have at least 05 years of professional experience in the areas of implementation and monitoring of community development projects;
Proven skills in establishing and maintaining relationships with host governments, donors, other donor-funded projects and stakeholders, local organizations and partners;
Expertise in two or more of the following technical areas: prevention, treatment, care and support, monitoring and evaluation, policy advocacy, systems strengthening, health information systems, violence prevention and response, and/or HIV and human rights;
Proven exceptional leadership in the design, management, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of similar-sized international donor-supported programs, with skills in planning and strategic thinking, management, supervision and budgeting, and experience in managing complex activities involving coordination with multiple program partners;
Fluency in French and English;
Knowledge of computer tools: MS-Word, Excel, Internet, …
Experience with the financial management rules and procedures of a donor is an asset.
Experience in recruiting, developing and managing staff and teams;
Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills;
Experience in managing the required programmatic and financial reporting requirements;
Ability to travel to project areas in Cameroon as needed.
Skills and Abilities: Interpersonal and leadership skills, including the ability to work effectively in a team. The candidate must be able to plan, implement, monitor and advocate for programs and beneficiaries. He/she must have strong time management skills and be able to prioritize and execute multiple activities simultaneously.
