About Good Neighbors:
Good Neighbors Cameroon (GNCMR) is an international non-governmental organization with its head office in Yaoundé and field Offices in Maroua and Mbalmayo. GNCMR’s work is focused on community development, implementation implementing projects in the sectors of food security and livelihood, education, child protection, water, hygiene and sanitation, health, environment, gender and advocacy. Good Neighbors Cameroon works with different international partners such as the United Nations and INGOs to seek sustainable solutions to development and humanitarian challenges.
Project Background:

Good Neighbors Global Partnership Center (GN GPC) based in Korea has decided to fund Good Neighbors Cameroun to continue the implementation of the “Neglected Tropical Disease (NTD) Control Project” in Cameroon. Specifically, it will target all school age children from 5-15years living in the Centre Region in order to reduce morbidity and mortality by controlling NTDs, particularly schistosomiasis (SCH) and soil-transmitted helminthiasis (STH).  Activities will include mass drug administration (MDA) support, community-led water and sanitation education/campaign, borehole installation, and so on.
Job Description:
NTD Officer will collaborate with the employees and volunteers of the organization.
She/he has to:
•Provide support to NTD technical team on developing NTD project plans and procedures and monitoring the progress of the overall NTD project to ensure that all activities are on the right track
•Be actively carry out all NTD-related project activities

•Manage project-related inquiries from colleagues and provide technical assistance for other departments with NTD project
•Supervise on-the-ground activities (e.g. training, construction, etc.) including supervision of engaged partners in those activities to ensure that activities are delivered within a time frame and budget
•Provide support to NTD technical officer on the preparation/finalization of
monthly/quarterly/yearly internal/donor reports, activity plans, and other key project matters
•Prepare payment requests, domestic travels, expense evidence, and other administration
documents related to NTD activities
•Involve in training in-country project staff and stakeholders on programmatic and operational management of the NTD project
•Collaborate with the team to build and maintain good partnerships/relationships with donors, stakeholders including the Cameroon government (e.g. Ministry of Public Health, Ministry of basic/secondary Education, Ministry of Water and Energy, etc.) at all levels, health personnel, and beneficiaries

•Ensure that internally shared documents are fully up-to-date at all times
•Undertake any other project-related duties assigned by Project Manager

Required Qualifications:  
To be admissible for this position, the candidate must satisfy the minimum qualification.
The candidates would be preselected and those who meet the minimum qualification would be considered. The minimum qualifications necessary for the position are listed below:
•    Master Degree in Public Health with at least 5 years of directly relevant work experience; or equivalent combination of academic and work experience
•    Familiarity with NGOs or international development organizations is strongly preferred
•    Familiarity/experience in NTD or infectious disease project implementation either in Africa region or in other foreign regions is preferred
•    Fluency in written and spoken in both English and French is highly required
•    Computer literacy with MS word, excel, and PowerPoint is highly required

•    Ability to communicate effectively across countries with partners and donors
•    Willingness to work under pressure and high workload with a positive mind and attitude
•    Ability to undertake domestic and international travel
•    Ability to deliver assigned duties on time with accuracy
•    Great level of sensitivity and respect for vulnerable groups
•    Willingness to be on the field
•    Excellent report-writing skills
•    Ability to have good relationships with internal and external partners/colleagues
•    Integrity in any circumstances
•    To be in excellent health condition

RECRUITMENT PROCEDURE AT GNCMR
The recruitment procedure consists of 3 key stages:
1.    Pre-selection on the basis of the application (only shortlisted candidates are selected for the written test).
2.    A physical written technical test;
3.    An oral interview

At each stage, only selected candidates are contacted.
