It brings together in its network in Africa, companies, microfinance institutions and insurance companies.

As part of its activities, FOCEP SA is recruiting a Network Lawyer.

YOUR MISSION:

Under the supervision of the Regional Legal Manager, the Network Lawyer is responsible for ensuring that branch operations comply with current legislation, taking part in credit committees, managing local legal issues and providing assistance in litigation and recovery cases at the branch level.

His main missions are as follows:

Management of Legal Issues:
Cameroon Recruitment
Handle legal issues encountered by agencies in liaison with the Regional Manager, such as client contracts, property issues, etc.;

Collaborate with Agency Heads to resolve legal issues in an efficient and timely manner;

Provide legal advice to Agency Heads on compliance and risk management issues;
Actively assist credit committees in counter-inspections of guarantees and authentication of related documents.
Litigation and Recovery Support:
Ensure the monitoring and management of litigation and recovery procedures under the supervision of the regional lawyer:
Provide the necessary information and documentation for all recovery and litigation procedures;
Coordinate with recovery teams to maximize results at the local level: Initiate recovery actions in real time (identification and reminders of customers and guarantees, formal notices, complaints, summonses and other seizures under the supervision of the regional lawyer and the Legal Director as appropriate)
Assess recovery and litigation risks, as well as measures taken to minimize the institution’s financial losses.
Training and Awareness Assistance:
Raise awareness among agency staff of best practices in legal and litigation risk management.
Reporting:
Mandatory production of weekly and monthly reports to your hierarchy in the defined formats

Produce any ad hoc report at the request of his/her hierarchy and/or general management.
YOUR PROFILE,
You hold a BAC+5 in business law or any other equivalent diploma;
You have proven professional experience of at least 3 years in the legal field and in the microfinance sector, and/or in a law firm or bailiff’s office;
You have a good knowledge of legal procedures and regulations in force:
You have a perfect command of all the regulations underlying recovery procedures
You have mastery of the use of IT tools, MS OFFICE software (WORD, EXCEL, etc.), NETSOFT, PERFECT.
You have strong writing and interpersonal skills, a synthesis mind, and great analytical skills.
You are proactive and able to work under pressure.
Bilingualism (French and English) is an asset.
